Home is picking up pace now, even the European Home has some stuff in it that you could spend a bit of time fiddling with. So when this dropped into my inbox I wasn’t totally surprised but I was mildly intrigued.
This is a tour (in Spanish) of the new Fat Princess Home space. No idea when it launches or in which regions but it looks adorable.
Update.
Now that the dust has settled and the news is no longer breaking but instead confirmed, we have a few more details to share with you. What was originally thought to be a Fat Princess Space is in fact a Fat Princess event called ‘Quest For Cake’
“In the fully redecorated events space you will find eight pieces of cake, locked away in cages. To unlock the cake and feed your Princess you need to search the space high and low for clues, these clues will give you access to the finest gateaux and, eventually, her majesty’s waistline.
If you do manage to unlock all eight pieces of cake, and feed the Princess, a special PS Home reward will be yours – the Fat Princess’ very own throne for your personal apartment.”

Glad to hear more is being added to Home, for myself, this is a wasted application though. I can’t see the point of me visiting Home or this room, I would rather play the game.
INfact, I can’t wait for this game – wohoo 1 day left.

I’m iking they are using the events space for events now. This looks very nice indeed. And can only expect this for tomorrows content. I’m wondering what else maybe coming tomorrow too.

This looks like Home does LBP.
Slap some stickers up and relaunch. There goes the whole it takes years to region code everything arguement.
(looks fun though)

The trouble with a lot of spaces is that they are just good looking but don’t offer any interactivity.
This one looks alright but probably one I’ll visit once and then never go back too.
I am still waiting for a truly innovative use of Home

whats the point when you can turn on the PS3 and go straight into the game?
Thats one thing I don’t understand with “Game Launching” – it takes longer

It does look cool, but potential home content only generates cynisism in me.
What are the chances we’ll actually see this space in the UK?

It even generates cynicism too…

Doubt this is a permanent space. Seems more likely it is simply the ‘Event Space’ that is dressed up, and re-opened’ for the release of Fat Princess.

This isn’t actually a Fat Princess space. It’s the event space that has had new models and features added for the launch of Fat Princess I’m guessing.
It was reskinned once before for the PSP Competition.

I still dont get Home. If all we’re going to be getting is just Spaces that dont really do much or offer QUICK and EASY (yes I caps locked it cause it really means that much lol) game launching, then whats the point?
As 3shirts said, nothing innovative that makes me use Home. Still its free and I dont have to use it.

Nice. They are finally focusing on adding spaces, not for the sake of adding them, but to actually give the player a reason to visit more than once.
The lack of depth/appeal most of the existing spaces have, due to them being just locations from the game recreated in Home, and limited customization options, have largely been the cause for Home’s continued general impression of being just ‘worthless, boring and a waste of effort’.
