PS3 Price Cut: August 10th, Slim: August 30th?
Retailers across Europe to reduce PS3 (and a game) to 299€, or less.

21It looks like we’re only a small step away from an official Sony press release on this - but class it as a rumour just now. From next Monday, according to the link below, several European retailers will reduce the price of the PlayStation 3 to 299€ (including a game), with some already jumping the gun and some already at 249€.
The thread linked below also has ‘almost confirmation‘ that the price drop is to make way for the Slim, which will land at the end of August (currently the 30th) and retail for 399€. We’ve also heard that some retailers are ‘out of stock’ just now, and awaiting a new model. We’re just about to contact SCEE on this for a comment…
Update: SCEE have responded with “we don’t comment on rumour and speculation” as expected.
