Back in May we reported that Capcom were planning to release lots of ‘classic’ games on the PSN. Well, the ESRB has now rated three of those classics: Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis – all the PlayStation versions, of course.  The ESRB site doesn’t have the search fields in the URL so we can’t give you links to the ratings for the games, but search for them and you’ll see the newly added “PlayStation 3″ platform under each one.  No dates yet, of course, but presumably we’ll see these on our Store sooner rather than later.

Thanks, Tntnnbltn, GAF.

  1. Have been waiting for Resi 2 and Nemesis to arive on PSN. Oh the nostalgic goodness

  2. I love Dino Crisis to death. That was such a fun game. I will be buying this.

  3. I completely forgot Dino Crisis existed. I used to love that game!
Resi 2 and Nemesis, also great news.

  4. excellent. i’ve been meaning to buy some stuff on the store for quite a while so I would imagine I will indulge and get all three of these and ff7 as they are my fave ps1 games of all time :) good stuff

  5. I want all these games. Hopefully Dino Crisis 2 will come as well.

  6. Yes, Dino Crisis is finally coming, woohoo! And Resident Evil 3 too, i loved playing that game. The sheer sight of nemesis always made me brick my pants :P

    STARS!

  7. ooh dino crisis nice. Liked that game

  8. i got all the res’s dino crisis already on disk’s and still dont play them lol

    • going to get on dino crisis tonight i think been a longgggggg time

  9. For me, the key issue here is that they’ve been rated by the ESRB, not PEGI or the BBFC, meaning that once again the US will get them months before us.

    • i was going to ask about that because i was sure the esrb was the american ratings board.
guess we’ll be seeing these just in time for the london olympics.

  10. Another game that my psp will hold; res 2. It’s one of those games that is still okay to play from the ps1. Destruction Derby on the other hand should be avoided, it spoilt my childhood memories.

  11. Such great games, I am sure they will be welcome on many folks XMB’s ;) :D

  12. Still got my fav PS1 classics from there first release.

It is worth looking around as you can often pick them up cheaper than buying the psn store version.

    • I got Gran Turismo 2 the other day in mint condition for €4 in a second-hand shop. Great value! :)

  13. Aah cool, I loved Dino Crisis!

  14. people moan about us getting psx ps2 games before us why i dont know, prob cheaper to buy off ebay on disk then it is to get off the store,ok some ppl with out the 60gb i can see the point yes, lucky i have a spare 60gb sitting in a box still awaiting it’s opening from 1st day of release,so if the one im using now ylod’s then im back up in min’s…. sorry to go off track abit

    • car boot sales are also a useful resource when looking for ps1 games.
the only problem with the original discs is sony haven’t provided a way to rip them to psp.
and without custom firmware i don’t know any way i could do it myself.

  15. RESI 2 WHOOHOO. I was asking for Resi 2, and SONY listened. They listened. They love me, me, me!!!

… I hope they put a bit of HD spit & polish on it, although it should still look cool anyways.
