Back in May we reported that Capcom were planning to release lots of ‘classic’ games on the PSN. Well, the ESRB has now rated three of those classics: Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis – all the PlayStation versions, of course. The ESRB site doesn’t have the search fields in the URL so we can’t give you links to the ratings for the games, but search for them and you’ll see the newly added “PlayStation 3″ platform under each one. No dates yet, of course, but presumably we’ll see these on our Store sooner rather than later.

The whole PS1 thing passed me by, the only game I ever played on it was Tomb Raider, I was still clinging to Sega’s coat tails, after the Master System, Megadrive, 32X, MegaCD and Saturn and there there was the dot on the horizon which later turned out to be the awesome, but shafted by publishers Dreamcast.
So the only PS1 game I can get nostalgic for is Tomb Raider, I did by Warhawk (PS1) last week though out of curiosity, but I’ve not turned my PS3 on for a few days to try it out yet.

Absolutely EPIC!
Was playing Resi2 last night for about 6 hours, just such a good game!
Dino Crisis was a bit arse, but it will be worth the money just for nostalgia’s sake.

They are for Europe PSN. Those games have been on the Japan and USA stores for ages already.

I don’t know about Japan, but these games have NOT been released on the American PSN. Resident Evil: Director’s Cut was released, which is a rerelease of the rerelease of Resident Evil 1. This may be where you made your mistake.
