23Now, contrary to some beliefs, I love Sony products. I’ve had phones, walkmans, memory sticks, a minidisc player, a TV and, of course, every console they’ve ever made amongst other things. They are all exceptionally well made and ooze quality. Secretly I’m a little bit of a Sony geek but don’t tell anyone…
Let’s not ignore their faults though, just because they’ve done some exceptional work. They haven’t got their marketing right for a little while now with advertising often seemingly absent and marketing ploys like last month’s for the Lilac PSP being so misguided that they are insulting (although possibly cheesy and outdated enough to be successful).
The latest demonstration of a Sony PR slip and some exceptional work by one of their competitors can be seen by clicking the link below and viewing the website currently inhabiting the web domain: www.pspgo.co.uk
A recent tweet from Johnny Minkley has pointed out that the domain was registered in China at the end of April so probably a fan tribute rather than a corporate strategy. Pretty funny though, in an annoying kind of way…
Good job Sony…
