LBP GOTY Edition Comes With Something Special

6Sometimes things just make sense. Having reached staggering low prices at some online retailers, Media Molecule and Sony hope to reignite sales of our beloved SackBoy with the release of LittleBigPlanet – Game of the Year Edition on September 8th (in the US). The GOTY Edition will come packed with the original game, 18 of the best user-generated levels, 7 DLC packs including Metal Gear Solid Level and Costume Pack, Monsters Costumes and Pack, History Costumes and Pack and the Animals Costumes. All of which can be seen in the lovely little trailer.
However, the biggest extra is certainly a peek at the next “Play, Create, Share” title. A limited supply of LittleBigPlanet – Game of the Year Editions will include a code for the upcoming Modnation Racers Online Beta. We’ve had more than enough to say over the distribution of betas in the past, and giving it to people who do not yet own one of the hottest games on the PlayStation 3 seems a tad odd to me. Perhaps I’m just bitter?
