Firmware 3.0 Now Out For Debug PS3s

We’re not saying that Sony are planning on pushing out firmware 3.0 before the scheduled 1st of September date, but we’ve heard this afternoon that debug PlayStation 3 consoles can now download firmware 3.0 as they’d normally do. Of course, for the 99.9% of the population this means very little, but everyone’s expecting a huge amount of stealth updates and secret things from 3.0, so with the software revision ‘out there’ in the wild we’re hoping to hear about some of this year’s big update’s hidden features any time now.
When we do, we’ll pass them on.
