When i downloaded the demo of this, i thought it was good enough, i certainly wasnt so easily subdued as many people are, i think if this wasnt about batman there would be a lot less hype tbh

oh guys…
I had awful difficulties trying to get net connection the week that the Batman RR was meant to go up and when I reassessed the RR feature last week I thought it might not be worth keeping it going. Interest seemed to falter so i was caught in two minds.
I will publish the Batman Demo RR tomorrow and we’ll give it another push to see if it’s worth running, OK?

I said in my Rental Review (which is where by the way!?) that this game does what no other game has done since Spiderman 2, and that’s make you feel like the superhero. It truly is a magnificent game and a must purchase for everyone.

Same here. I got a few must play games I want from lovefilm.
I really enjoyed the demo of this. I dont think I would buy it as I probably wouldnt get enough out of it for £40 but as a rental I really wanna play this game.

for a game that proposed to let you use the force to bend everything to your will, it did quite well, but just nowhere near enough. And the control system and camera were just… off…

Lego Star Wars was good fun, but its a lego game, not a star wars game.

Jedi Outcast is still the best Star Wars game, as far as Im concerned, but its also 7 years old.

Give us something that matches up to Outcast, but with the tech of TFU amped up to 11, and without the frustrating control system, and you’ve got a deal.

Finished this earlier this evening and I agree completely, this is the definitive Batman game by a mile. Sad thing is, nothing will ever come close to be being this good again, given that the Batman license will probably change hands to a different company before any sort of sequel can get going, as seems to happen when things start to get good(Having a bit of a Transformers PS2 flashback here).

The level of detail, atmosphere and immersion this game offers really is incredible. The only gripes I’d have are with the slightly rubbish boss fights and relatively small number of sequences that you had to take down the gun toting inmates without being seen, as those were the best bits of the game.

Superb stuff.

That’s why he’s awesome! He’s badass, is considered the most dangerous man on the planet by Superman, and yet he’s just a regular human. He’s more than bloodied Superman in a fight before, and Superman is essentially invulnerable.

The fact that he is essentially vulnerable makes him seem more human and more sympathetic as a character than Superman. It’s one of the reasons I also enjoy the Punisher (lets face it, he’s Batman with no funding), because those characters are easier to connect to. They don’t have some crazy or implausible part in their past, their just people who have suffered great tragedy and now do what they can for the greater good.

But he’s proper strong, but doesn’t have super-human strength I guess. I suppose he’s just in very good shape and is quite skilled at killing people and swinging between gargoyles.
