Just when you were beginning to think all the Gamescom goodness had dried up, up pops a little bit more. Not just any old bit of goodness either but one of the most highly anticipated titles of the ‘holiday season’ Christmas period. This new footage shows off gameplay better than any trailer ever could including; the economic system, both buying items and paying mercenaries, new weapons, methods of attack, the improved ‘eagle vision’, stealthier kills etc… Basically it only shows everything.

I will never be taken in by Assassins Creed until I play it.
I thought the first one was going to be brilliant until I bought the game.

Snap.The first one was a borefest but this one does look much better.I’d like a demo though because trailers,ingame or not,can be deceptive.

Watched this a few minutes ago and now I’m desperate for this game. The challenge rooms look excellent, nice new element to the game.

Yeah, I’m guessing that the “exclusive map” they refer to in the “White Edition” is one of those challenge rooms though, which is a shame. I hope they offer the room as DLC at some point, because the special edition is very expensive.

Whilst I agree with you, I think it’s par for the course with an open world game.
More linear games like Killzone 2 etc… are leaps ahead of this, but if you compare like for like is AC2 any worse? I’m not sure it is.

Seconded, after all they said one of there biggest focuses was to make sure the gameplay wasn’t repetitive, which was the main complaint with 1.

This looks like a massive improvement over AC1. It’s certainly on my radar whereas the first one was something I ignored.

I think they seem to have taken on board the concerns from the first game well, but I did see too much of the same type of movement in that clip, jump, jump swing, happened too much, but then once I am playing I guess this could be lost in the action.

the swingings new so they probable just wanted to show it off. i’m guessing there’s not as much of that in the finished game

Oh my god. That looks so totally awesome. There is so much to see and do, and it looks like the repetitiveness is all gone. This is easily my second most anticipated game ever. If not most. It looks astonishing.

I don’t think that this will be a purchase I’ll make without thinking. It doesn’t seem to have the star quality of other games like GT5, uncharted and R&C. I’m sure some of you might agree that this walkthrough wasn’t that stunningand seemed altogether a bit similar to the previous installment. But it will sell a million. I’m pretty sure.

You saw how he threw the money and the people all went after it? Well, apparently when you poison the body guard, you can throw coins at his feet and people will swoop in to try and take the money, and also be killed by the guard. How sadistic. I must try.
