Sony Announce TGS Lineup

Today Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) have announced their lineup for the Tokyo Game Show, taking place on September 24th-27th, this represents the last major trade show of the year, and is usually a great source of information about the things we can expect in the coming year, along with a healthy smattering of titles we can expect in our Christmas stockings this year. Despite TGS taking place in Sony’s own backyard it would be fair to say that Microsoft have by far had the better conferences in recent years and have used it as a platform to announce über popular PlayStation franchises  are going multi-platform like Tekken and Final Fantasy.

Hopefully there will be loads shown during Sony’s keynote, but the below will be playable in the Sony booth on the show floor;

PlayStation 3

  • FIFA 10
  • Winning Eleven 10
  • Lost Planet 2
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • Bayonetta
  • Gran Turismo 5
  • Golden Sword And The Vanished Fleet: Drakes Fortune (*shrugs* perhaps it’s Uncharted 3?)
  • God Of war III
  • inFAMOUS
  • Ratchet & Clank
  • Tekken 6
  • Assassin’s Creed 2
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
  • Quantum Theory

Interestingly Sony have also said there will also be two further unannounced PlayStation 3 titles that will be playable on the show floor.

PSP

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Motorstorm: Raging Ice
  • Gran Turismo
  • Valkyria Chronicles 2
  • Persona 3
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Dynasty Warriors 5
  • And more…

Services

  • PSN Video Store
  • PSP Digital Comics
  • PlayStation Home

I’m a bit disappointed that The Last Guardian isn’t progressed enough to have a small section available on the show floor, but hopefully we’ll see plenty of it on the stage during Sony’s presentation, I’m also really keen to see plenty of Quantum Theory as the early footage made it look like Gears Of War 2 with a Far Eastern twist, which has got to be good. If you’ve been around TSA long you’ll know we’re going to have wall to wall coverage of everything that happens over in Tokyo so save your airfare and stay tuned.
