COOL! Thanks BetaGhast, guess I’ll look into CFW on PSP.
I debated trying to make my own Pandora’s Battery when I first read about CFW but it seems very risky.
If I buy a PSP Go though then I’ll definetly try it on my PSP ‘Slim ‘n’ Lite’.

Its the custom firmware that is contributing to the premature death of the PSP.
If people bought the games and supported the product then developers would be inclined to release more titles and thus increase their support.

This is a great idea IMHO.

Don’t have a PSP and am not interested in portable gaming but that is truly awesome looking. I’ve seen a fair few PSP games over the past 24 months but that is something else. Hope it gets the reviews it deserves (which is a strange thing to say as I hope that about every game )

Just what we need, even more pain in the ass copy protection. Personally I don’t pirate PSP games or even use CFW, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned about software it’s that people who legally buy it often are the biggest victims of oppressive protection, and the pirates just find the easy way around without “YOUR CD KEY IS INVALID, PHONE THIS NUMBER 0800…” popping up because you currently can’t connect to the internet and so aren’t allowed to play the game you just bought. Yeah, bit of rant, but even more copy protection is never a good thing.

And why the hell can’t you play splitscreen/LAN Warhawk without an internet connection?! *grumble grumble*

by stealing from I mean psp developers, emulation is fine but you can do that on other things. CFW allows emulation but by extension allows pirating. I personally want there to be a psp 2 and CFW is threatening that because people won’t buy games.

Agree with you there BetaGhast.
Sometimes emulation is the only way to play classic games as you can’t find original copies anymore. Emulation owns when it works perfectly.

Cool, I’ve just been researching it.
Although I’ve done more complicated things before this looks quite an annoying thing to do, plus cba to buy a Pandoras Battery and Magic memory Stick. Are there any safe and secure retailers online that sell ‘em fairly cheap?
