360 NFS Shift Crashes On PlayStation Store Access

We can’t vouch for the authenticity of this story (only having access to the PS3 version) but it appears that for some reason the Xbox 360 version of EA’s Need For Speed: Shift has crashed this one blogger’s console whilst – wait for it – trying to access the PlayStation Store!  “The list of serious bugs being reported by customers is embarrassing,” says Freakbits, “and it has crashed on me at least a dozen times. But this could be the most embarrassing fail of all. When navigating menus today while connected to Xbox Live the game suddenly crashed again. When my rage had subsided and I got a better look at the screen, I was pretty shocked at what I saw. ”

“Was my Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed Shift really trying to access the Playstation Store?” asks the blog. “Microsoft are not going to be happy about this.”  Yeah, we’d imagine not, and you have to ask how the hell something like this has happened.  Again, without an Xbox 360 version of the game it’s impossible to us to test this one for ourselves and to be honest we’d have assumed this would have raised it’s head before now what with the game already being out a couple of weeks.  Either way, you can probably add this one to the massive amount of bugs that already exist in the game, not least of all the one where the game shipped without visible damage.

Hey, at least it didn’t try connecting to Xbox Live…
