I see your point, but I think trophies should be more inventive and involve a bit less grinding. In general, a trophy is awarded because you have achieved something that is difficult to do; if you have played the game a lot you should be rewarded, because you should be good at it by then. Grinding trophies are just a lazy, unimaginative way to create trophies and prolong the lifespan of the game.

try living in university halls with an oppressive internet connection system for a whole year thankfully I don’t have that problem any more…

there are still 11 more trophies, so there could be versus trophies. And if you look at these online trophies- ‘play 3 matches’ or ‘win 1 match’… these are the easiest MP trophies ever. And if a person doesn’t have internet… well that sucks- seriously, but then they’re missing out on so much more that they shouldn’t care about trophies at all, and people that can connect online shouldn’t be excluded because someone else can’t. Point is, trophies are designed to represent how much time a person plays a game, and someone who gets 10K MP kills or plays every game mode deserves a trophy and more recognition than someone who rents it, plays it just to get trophies, or only chooses to play half the game. If you don’t want to play MP that’s your choice, but to say you deserve the same recognition as someone who does isn’t fair.
@Reiterpallasch- if you buy a game thats a year or 2 old you have to expect that it might no longer support MP

yeah the game also has a versus mode, no trophies there. For one you need an internet connection, the other you need friends. I know which one I’d rather have. The only reason I don’t try to get online trophies is because playing online in pretty much any game is a fruitless experience. Not only are you playing against someone you’ve never met or care about, many games have awful connection issues or lengthy game matching processes. If it was win 100 matches in online/versus, that would be entirely different.

Well, the trophies for the campaign mode probably are the reason to play it, just a hunch I’m having. Online trophies are fine as long as there are people playing it. Obviously no matter when the game is new, but what about in a year or so?

those do not sound like tekken trophies. if I hadn’t read the heading, I wouldn’t in a million years guess what these trophies were for.
