PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe is one of the best games available on the PSP, but that doesn’t automatically mean Dylan Cuthbert and the Q-Games team will be dedicating any more time to the portable platform.  In a series of candid tweets, studio head Cuthbert seems discouraged by the sheer amount of pirated copies of the game available.  I’ll be honest, I didn’t even know you could pirate a PSN download title, but apparently you can.

Yep, it was a shock to log in to a PJMD chat room and hear them talking about how they were all playing ripped versions,” he said, after admitting that “I don’t think we’ll port anything else to the PSP, we have to see how PJMD does as there’s a *lot* of piracy.”  When asked if a demo would quell some of the piracy, Cuthbert concluded with “a psp demo is in the works but I don’t think it makes any difference to piracy.”

Sad news indeed, Monsters Deluxe is only a tenner, and deserves to do well.
