Just in case you weren’t aware TheSixthAxis has some pretty awesome competitions, we have given away everything from PSP minis and XBLA titles to PSN titles and full PS3 retail games, but even by our high standards this competition is going to take some beating. Thanks to the lovely folks at our partners Games Basement, we have not one, but two copies of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 up for grabs. Yes, you read that right, TheSixthAxis in conjunction with Games Basement are giving away two copies of the year’s most anticipated multi-platform title for the PlayStation 3.
As you’d expect which such a sought after prize we’re not going to give them away to any Tom, Dick or Harry – you’re going to have to earn them, so with that in mind we’re setting up two challenges and the winner of each will be able to grab a copy of the game.
Challenge #1
To achieve the highest score on Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare ‘Mile High Club’ bonus level. This bonus mission is ‘unlocked’ after completing the main single player campaign. You can choose any difficulty you like, but be aware your score is multiplied by your difficulty level.
Challenge #2
To achieve the highest score on Call Of Duty: World At War’s first level ‘Semper Fi’. Again you can choose any difficulty level you want.
The Rules.
We must stress that this competition is only open to TSA members living in the UK, the game is only for the PlayStation 3, and the competition is subject to our usual terms and conditions. Any entries received without the below bullet points will be disqualified, only one entry (either COD4 or COD:WaW) per TSA member per household.
You need to email a photo to me (chris[at]thesixthaxis[dot]com) of the relevant high score screen. Your entry must include the following:
+ Includes a photo like this one for Challenge #1 or this one for Challenge #2 clearly showing your high score. The photo must show the whole of your TV screen along with a piece of paper with your TSA username clearly visible.
+ Email must include your TSA username.
+ Email must have ‘Modern Warfare 2 CoD4 Challenge’ or ‘Modern Warfare 2 CoD5 Challenge’ in the subject line.
All entries must be in before midday GMT on Sunday 8th November 2009. The games (standard editions) will be dispatched by Games Basement once we’ve notified them of the winner. If you’re not either feeling man enough or lucky enough or just don’t own the mentioned games to be able to take part, it’s still possible to place your pre-order at Games Basement, where Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available from £34.98 depending on your platform of choice.

Depressing.
Got a really great time on the Epilogue on the PS3 version, but I’ve not got my save data now.
Would I have to do it again in arcade mode to get the score?

FFS, just got rid of them both recently to make way for other games, wonder how many people still have these games?

IMPORTANT: Am I allowed to do the Mile High Club challenge on my PC, as that is the only platform I have a COD game for?

I shall enter on the CoD:WaW one. I don’t think I will win but entering at least gives me a small chance.

I’ll do the CoD4 one seeing as I too traded in W@W (got £25 for it and it only cost me £26 on release day!). Think I would have preferred the W@W challenge though as I’m better at it’s sp for some reason! Anyway good luck to all! – Just realised I have to go and complete CoD4 first lmao

I don’t know if you can download a game save so you’d only have to complete the final level

Yeah, anyone could download a game save to unlock the challenges.

It’s a bit of a greay area. Uncharted 1 knew if you hadn’t completed the whole game on crushing to get the trophy (making downloaded saves useless for trophy hunting in a lot of games now it appears), can’t comment on CoD4.

Doesn’t really matter if you can or not, thanks for the suggestion but I want to catch up on the story plus it’ll only take me a couple of hours! Then I’ll attempt the challenge!

Great stuff TSA and I’ll give it a go when I get a mo!

Nice competition! Different to the usual question and then search the interent for an answer, then hope to be pulled out the hat.
I only have cod4 but i’m not that great at it so i doubt i would get even close to 1st place, may still give it a go.
