First off, this is going to be a quiet week for the PlayStation Store as the Store team are hard at work on the PlayStation Video Store something dull and unexciting, with normal service being resumed for the 12th. I wouldn’t expect the Video Store to launch next week though – I’m willing bet this soggy old Digestive Peter left that the Video Store is coming to Europe on the 19th. So, I’ve no idea what’s due this week for Europe but Military Madness: Nectaris and Numblast are both due on the US Store this week although we’ve had Numblast over here for a while – it’s actually quite a good game for both PS3 and PSP.
If you’re a Rock Band fan you’ll be happy to hear that there’s some decent music this week though: The Foo Fighers join Nirvana in making lots of noise with guitars with “Best of You”, “The Pretender”, “Wheels” and “Word Forward” from the former and “About a Girl”, “Blew” and “School” from the latter. Additionally, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts’ “Fake Friends” is out this week too. Speaking of music, now Peter’s no longer the boss perhaps I can get away with uploading that little song he did for Michael and I over a year ago.
We never got official clearance from the label, but it could appear on YouTube or something accidentally…
Xbox 360 owners are having a great week though – the demo for Left 4 Dead 2 is out (and apparently brilliant – I’m yet to download it for myself) and Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (one of my favourite all-time FPS) and Far Cry 2 are both available on the on demand service this week. In terms of new Arcade games, three further episodes of Wallace & Gromit are out – The last resort, Muzzled! and The Bogey Man, all for 800 points each. Remember that the wonderful Ballad of Gay Tony came out last week (I’m so funny) and American Xbox 360 owners should now have access to Inferno Pool – check our competition.
I wonder what’s landing on the European PSN on the 10th, though? It’s apparently something ‘lovely‘ but everyone’s remaining tight lipped…

Bought it from the USA store last week. One of the TSA staff mentioned it being far superior on the big screen (as oppose to the iPhone) and they were spot on. It’s great fun and now very much enjoyable. When I tried it on the iPhone I didn’t pick it up again.
Good controls and a big TV will do that to a person.

What title is being released on the 10th… Hmmm let me think, now if only I could work out why Sony are doing something on the PSN Store for that title.

Will the first Video on the PVS be of Peter running down the street naked, whilst simultaneously shouting “so long suckers!”?

Don’t matter what’s in the us store I attempted to see what new psp games they had to find that all the stores are now region locked. Every store except ours gave me a message saying I’m from the wrong region (not the video store generally just the ps store)

I’m in Norway, and logged in to the US store just fine now and started downloading a couple of demos…

I’m not too bothered if the store is a bit empty this week, because Sony sent me a God Of War 3 Demo Code, Which i have now downloaded but have not had the time to play it yet

Why don’t they put EVERY old PSP game on the Europe network? Really makes no sense to me at all.. They cant hide behind that multi-region excuse for this, the games are already made and translated!

Please make the accidental uploading of Peter’s music happen. Maybe as a treat for the weak update on PSN…

COD MW2 Dynamic Theme, now you can watch innocent citizens been killed by terrorists while you browse the XMB…. alternatively you can relive where it all began by playing the original Call of Duty and remind yourself just how crap PS1 games look now that we have the PS3 all the while paying £7.99 for the privilege!

While I appreciate the snide sarcasm going on here, Call of Duty was a PC title released in 2003 running on a heavily modified Quake 3 engine. It is way ahead of what the PS1 or even PS2 can manage, and aside from fairly low res textures, lower poly counts and a lack of shaders, its actually still a rather good looking game.

Oh look, another person showing their ignorance towards MW2. This doesn’t get old…. I can do sarcasm to, ya see.

I’m not too bothered if it’s a quiet week on the PSN store this week, as I’ve got a lot of games to catch up on, and not a lot of time to play them at the moment!!

Does anyone know if there will be a Dragonage demo anytime before the release of the game? All the recent videos for it look great but none of them show any real gameplay footage which is always worrying.

Dragon Age demo would keep me company lol but I have a feeling the demo itself will be released a week after the game luanch. Just like NFS Shift, again I mikght be wrong. Critter Crunch for me it is.
