Nah they’re rumours, hence the title and the categories this article is in.

I’ve never played a Dead or Alive game but I have studied beach volleyball, and I think there is a gap in the market for the sport on the PS3. Make it so, Team Ninja.

I thought DOA4 was the last game in the series after Itagaki left. Didn’t he say he would sue Tecmo and Team Ninja if they make another Ninja Gaiden od DOA sequel?

i played doa 4, the core gameplay was good but the ai totally frakkin cheated, and that end boss, total frakkin bitch.
in fact all the doa bosses have used cheap tricks, either a useless camera angle, distorting the screen so you can’t tell what’s going on or just letting the boss teleport away from your attacks at will.
and the online was totally awful, well it was ok when it was working well, but when it got laggy it turned into a slideshow.
maybe without itagaki they can have fair ai and non cheap bosses, and get a decent online mode working.
the best doa is doa 2 from the doa ultimate pack for the original xbox.
took me ages but i unlocked everything on that game.

Can see this being true, no reason for it to be a 360 exclusive anymore. Used to love Dead or Alive 2 on the PS2, haven’t played the series since.
