Regular LittleBigPlanet players will have noticed that the game was patched to version 1.20 over the last couple of days – that one’s not the interesting one with most authorities on the game citing future DLC as the reason for the update. No, it’s what’s next that’s the good stuff: version 1.21 is the fabled ‘Leerdammer’ patch, which is rumoured to unlock the much anticipated Online Create mode.
Hopefully then, within a few weeks, the guys at Media Molecule (along with everyone beta testing it) will have cracked the troublesome mode (which was, you’ll remember, meant to be part of the game at launch) and we’ll be able to work together in creating. There’s no date locked in for this yet, but let’s hope the Guildford based developers have got this one nailed before releasing it on the general public.

Can someone please explain why multiple offline players can create a level together but not multiple online players, or both mixed?
If the answer’s lag, don’t reply, if it is lag and some other reasons along with it, plzzz tell me = S

I tried to create something and failed miserably. What worse is when you play a really good user level and then at the end it says: “Made by Billy. Aged 6.” WTF!!!! XD

It usually takes me around 3 1/2 hours to create a simple contraption that falls to bits anyway when i unpause the screen.
Though it’s great to hear also that MM are increasing the users profile limit, as it’s a giant pain in the arse having to keep deleting stuff cos your profile is full. I ended up having to create my own online storage level to get round it……..although it was annoying to have to keep playing the storage level to collect stuff i needed.

This game is starting to get a little..repitive. Mm needs something really new and fresh to keep people playing in my opion. Online create is something that would seem to agravate peopl more than anything

This is great news. One of my favourite PS3 titles is going to get a mode that make it’s community even stronger and further boost the brilliant lifespan this game offers to people with at least a hint of creativity and percerverence.

It drives me mad enough creating with a 2nd player in the room, let alone over the web. Methinks this’ll be a largely unused feature.

I agree with you regarding offline creating. It’s fun to just toss about with another player but for serious creating, its annoying having someone else there.
Having said that, the main annoyance with local co-creation is that you have to share the screen. With online, someone could be off the other end of the level doing some bits while you are working on your stuff, that might actually work rather well

While i dislike platforming staples as much as anyone, I feel it might be fun to include some kind of ice/snow element to LBP.
Slip sliding around would add another layer to the building element of the game and bring different backgrounds.
OK, I admit, I love snow :/

More MM created levels is what I want, something along the line of the MGS Pack added earlier this year, GOW Pack should be next I think

I really must get around to playing this game sometime. It’s been sitting on my shelf (gathering dust) for ages as I picked it up when I saw it going cheap.
Trouble is, there’s too many other games that I’m into at the moment!!
