Rumour: Killzone 3, Infamous 2, Resistance 3 To Be Announced At E3 [33]

Killzone 3 exists and may be with us in 2010 according to a German web site which lists a Netherlands TV Show as their source.   Jan-Bart Van Beek, Guerilla Games animation director, was on a TV show and was asked about Killzone 3.

He said it’s scheduled for 2011, although it may arrive in 2010, but there is no pressure from the publishers (Sony) to aim for this date. The lack of pressure provides the developers time to create something “more than sustained fire”. That is probably Babelfish translation failing but I think it means Guerilla are be given time to create something rather special as opposed to ‘more of the same’.

  1. Is this MW3? Please say it is.

    • What? This is Killzone 3. :S

    • It is not, no wonder you’re an inferior race

    • It’s not.. where did MW3 come from?

      • I think he may be taking the proverbial mick as today seems rather “Modern Warfare” flavoured.

      • I was just being sarcastic given the only piece of news on the internet is MW2.

      • Aahh clever clever, I like it!

      • and i doubt it. he made a mistake and he’s covering up. no big deal

      • Yes you are exactly right. I have never heard of Killzone or the Killzone Boot Camps on TSA. I also did not know that other games that aren’t COD exist. Heck Killzone 3 would be the first retail release as far as I can tell and certainly not the fourth.

  2. Yes! Was hoping that a Killzone 3 existed but 2010 would be even better. The clan better get in some hardcore Boot Camps in the run up to this. Starting… Now!

    • same here late 2010 im happy

  3. Excellent. I was late to the KZ2 party but I’ll definitely try to pick this up earlier. KZ2 is actually my most favourite shooter on the PS3 apart from the Resistance series (which I absolutely love, despite what the critics say).

    • I’d just like to say I also love the incredibly under-rated Resistance series. Glad I’m not alone :D

      • +1. I also love the Resistance games, especially the first as it was the first shooter I played on my PS3.

      • I loved the first Resistance and the single player of the second but I never really got into the multiplayer on R2. Don’t know why exactly, maybe its just that R1 was my first proper online console FPS so I threw myself into it a bit more

  4. I hate KZ2 online but loved the story. Hopefully KZ3 will have a much better online system.

    • WOOT?!!?
      How dare you?!
KZ2 is the best fps …blablablabla..
      :-)

  5. How difficult is it to obtain a platinum on this game? (In particular the online trophies, the finishing in the top 1% for the week trophy puts me off slightly.. or is it easy now less people will be playing?)

    • wasn’t too hard it was around 7k points when i got it so should of come down

      • Cool might pick this up soon. Ive got an aversian to games with online trophies after my experience with GTA4 and not being able to get the platinum due to the online glitches.

  6. Maybe.
    Remember that article about Visari?
We will find out in a year, then :)

    • I remember that, hope there’s a KA3. By the way, Does anyone have a link for the article?

      • I meant KZ3, sorry.

  7. Dam just great

    • Killzone 2 is my favorite PS3 game. However, that might change when I play MW2 tomorrow :P Killzone 3 will be amazing!

  8. Based on the fact Killzone 2 was supposed to come out in 2007, i put Killzone 3 at 2013, with a trailer at E3 2010 that will make your eyes bleed. And the game will look better than that.

    • I wouldnt say that late. But I put it at late 2011, with a trailer at E3 2010.
