So, you’ve bagged your super cheap copy of the years most expensive game? If you’re signed in to the PSN when you boot the game up there will be a patch ready for you to download. This 1.01 patch was just a bug fix but unfortunately it has introduced another bug where Trophies aren’t being awarded.
There are rumours that re-booting your PS3, ejecting the game disk, even deleting the 1.01 patch will bring Trophies back, I’ve tried all them and none of them worked for me. Infinity Ward however have posted on NeoGAF that they have fixed the Trophy issue and the patch will be available as soon as they can get it to us.
Update.
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has let everyone know that the Trophy patch is already produced and is expected ASAP, and that a fix for the invite system will be with us by Friday. Cool.

Not played MP yet, is that Special ops good? Would love for me and someone to get a good partnership going on that.

Special Ops is amazing, fantastic idea for the game, I am enjoying that more than the MP so far. Wicked game.

Not the best start but at least the multiplayer seems to be working on PSN. No issues encountered yet on the 360 side of things, and the party chat is availlable in the best game modes too
A successful launch for both systems thus far, trophies / achievements are for the second playthrough of any game anyway

I seem to be getting trophies just fine even with the update so maybe not a problem for all users.

I’ve deleted the Game Data and started again on Veteran, all trophies unlocking fine. However, the ‘new update available’ screen keeps popping up every 5 minutes whilst I’m playing through single player.

I jumped straight into the game w/o reading all these problems about trophies. But mine worked fine :S
As jontheking said, might not be a prob for every1 :S

Is any game released these days without a patch coming out within a few days after?

Patches mean now that developers can be lazy and rush out their games to keep to release dates. If you made a flawed game back in the PS2 days, the bugs would haunt the company for life, so they had to get it right first time. It meant you could properly enjoy the game on release day, something that rarely happens now.

luckily my mates uncle bought 2 copies from Morrisons at £26 each and charged me just that
In the mean time i e-mail games basement and told them i no longer want their copy and was it refunded.

I give up with the GB argument now because the message obviously isn’t getting through.

I think it is only some trophies as I got back in the saddle but nothing after.

And I never got back in the saddle but got other ones after that but thenit missed one and got the one after. I dont think there is a pattern to it.

The game was awarding me trophies fine but then randomly in the middle of the single player they stopped working. I completed the one with all the restaurants and it never went ping.

Tried to get the game today but got ID’d so went back later on and was all sold out
Why cant I play like everyone else!
I’d quite happily not get it till christmas and play uncharted but i cant even get into games for that. my internet is so fucked up, it never lets me get into games, randomly changes NAT types etc. I had it working with ports a few weeks back but now its reverted back to its usual self even though I havent changed any of the ports.
Its realyl doing my head in
And now I realised Ive gone completely off topic, so yeah, no MW2 for me!

You really need to change your ISP then, that doesnt sound like a good service to me.
You never know, you might find cheaper internet somewhere else.

Its not up to me I’m afraid. Parents buy the bills and get everything sorted, no chance theyd change ISP for my PS3.
Its the most annoying thing ever. All I want to do is play a game online. I might try changing router, Belkin is awful.

Are you using wireless? They’re always a little unreliable.
It might be much better with a wired connection and really long Cat5 cables are quite cheap and very effective so long as you don’t mind one running through the house! You could always lay it under the carpet?

If I remember rightly, I read somewhere that by using a long cable, it loses its effectiveness over a certain length. I’d say a decent wired solution are those Network adapters. As for wireless, maybe a ‘N’ router would be better. Problem is that I think they’re a bit pricey.
