not only uncharted 2, as i said almost every AAA exclusive gets a exclusive early screening.
as for the guides, yea i could check online but there no where near as in depth and dont have the centennial value the guides have.
i like collecting guides.
forgot to mention limited editions.

i think its safe to say AU buys more games than bloody india!
point being europe is getting the complete finger compare to the US, when europe is their largest market.

The cinema screenings of Uncharted 2 were to a limited number of people (I forget, but it was a few hundred at most). It’s not as if they were handing it out to everybody in the US. Europe has had Blu-Ray releases that never came out in the US – disk versions of ‘Siren: Blood Curse’ or ‘Wipeout HD Fury’ were not available in the US. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

Can’t you just use gamefaqs for guides? I’ve always thought they were kind of overpriced and unnecessary.

they got a cinema screening off uncharted 2 and everyone got a free copy, they do this for everything R&C resistance KZ2 infamous all had early screenings in the US and no where else.
fortune hunter edition for uncharted 2.
god of war collection.
god of war 3 ultimate edition.
most games sony publishes they dont release guides here for some reason, i had to buy my KZ2, R2,R&C and infamous guides through ebay imported from the US.

Europe counts to almost half of their sales so this is how they repay us?
by giving us the games weeks if not months after the US.
by charging us more than the US
by making some of the best stuff exclusive to the US.
by giving Command & Conquer: Red Alert to the US today but giving us WHINNY THE POO!

I know this argument’s as old as the hills but GT5P really isn’t a demo. The Need for Speed: Shift Demo was a Demo, 3 cars and two tracks, limited to 2 lap races. GT5P has over 70 cars and even though the track options aren’t exactly huge, there are 12 options and a decent number of races to try out too (including the dealership ones). It even has online, though not implemented particularly well.

It’s a game I keep coming back to after eighteen months: for example, having seen Jezza Clarkson play around with a Corvette Z06 on a re-run of Top Gear, I bought it in the game and tuned it until it was virtually uncontrollable – superb fun with a wheel!

The issue is really not whether it’s a demo – it’s not – but whether it was worth the £18 or so you paid for it. I say yes. But I do wish PD would get their arse in gear and release the full thing, it’s more or less the reason I bought the PS3 (two years ago!).

Even though I had the opportunity to download Gran Turismo HD I decided at the time I wasn’t interested but now I kinda wish I had. Shame it’s not available anymore.

Anyway, I wish they’d have listed the no. of downloads HD got even though it technically wasn’t sold just to complete the data. It would be interesting how many were interested/knew it was available that earlier in the PS3’s life.

As by far the biggest contributor to these global figures, Europe should be looked after so much better than how it currently feels. Even with territory variation, Sony should endeavour to make us at least feel like we’re on an even keel. However, top figures no matter what.

GT5:Pro left me with frostbite. Stopped playing the game after a few months; I’m living in hope it’s no indication of the full game’s experience.

I’d agree with that but then I think whats going on with the PS1 games on the PSN? Those games will already be made with multi languages so I dont get why different regions get different treatment there.

I believe that Europe gets the least love because it is a continent that requires most work for a company. Think of all the languages etc. Sony must have to spend a fortune localising software etc. In North America there is one language, in Asia there are few languages. And as already mentioned. If Europeans are already buying the hardware and software, then Sony will naturally focus growing their customer base in the other regions. especially Asia which is developing fast and has a huge population of potential future gamers.
