Canis Canem Edit Bi?

Composer lets the dog out of the bag.

If I were Welsh, I would be a very happy Welshman because I seem to get a new leak everyday. Oh dear, that was terrible, I apologise for that, let’s start again. Composer Shawn Lee has previously worked on the soundtracks for ‘The Getaway’ and ‘Bully’ – or ‘Canis Canem Edit’ as it’s known in the UK. Shawn has been interviewed and was asked if he would consider composing for any games in the future.

“Yes. It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future….”

Rockstar fans rejoice, yet another open world sandbox game heading your way soon. I can exclusively reveal that the game will be out in 2010 and I can tell you this as the clue was in the first game. “Canis Canem Edit” is an anagram of “Academics In Ten”, a sure sign that Bully is growing up and going to college in 2010. There again, it’s also an anagram of “Tennis Academic” so may be he’s going to sports college.

  1. Woot!!
    I loved Bully!

  2. Verry good news. i loved the first game. college would be a good idea. it wouldnt really work on the subject side as you only do 1 or 2 subjects. 6th form maybe yes. cant wait.

  3. I never got around to getting this, I toyed with it recently but for some reason failed to go through with it. Is it worth me checking out, does it stand the test of time?

    • Yeah it’s great. I got it on 360 and did the first two of 7(?) chapters and loved it, then lent it to someone who kept it for a few months and I never loaded it up again but also have deliberately not traded/sold it as I definitely want to finish it.

Add that to the fact you could probably find it for £7-£8 now then it’s as much of a no-brainer purchase as COD MW2 at £25. ;)

  4. Another game that I must have. Joys!

    • was the first one very good?

      • make that any good lol

      • Yeah I thought it was wicked tbh once you get used to it.
Having to juggle between classes and “missions” is a bit tricky to get used to to begin with but after you have gotten over that its definately one of the more fun sandbox style games

  5. It’s also latin for ‘Dog eat Dog’ which is kind of a better description of the game than ‘bully’ anyway

    • Definitely, since you actually do more to protect people from bullies than actually bullying people yourself. For this reason alone this game should have been applauded instead of criticised for the title as it was before it was changed.

      • The media criticism was entirely based on the name and the developers reputation, not the actual game

      • Rockstar, belss their little cotton socks must love all the free publicity for their games, I’m surprised there wasn’t an uproar when they released table tennis on the 360.

  6. Great news! Bully was a fun game. Every time I was heading towards the bed in the dorms, I felt the need to shove someone into the trash bin on the way.

  7. This will be good…

But prepare for some more controversy.

  8. how about a female option this time?

    • That would be interesting. Though seeing a female beat the whole football team might be a bit odd.

…On a second thought, that would be brilliant! Definitely hoping for a female option now.

      • yeah, girls can be tough too. :)

  9. Cool, I played the original through on PS2, and bought the wii one a few months ago from fleabay but haven’t gone back to it yet.

  10. HELL YEEEEAAAAAAAHHH!!! I love Bully!! If this is true then it’s exciting and a day one buy no doubt!!

  11. Nice, can’t wait! Grange hill all over again?! ;)

  12. Would this be a good game for someone who absolutely hated GTAIV, but at the same time loved Saints Row 2? :-P GTAIV was just far, far, far too frustrating for me, no save points mid missions, etc, sold it without finishing it. Got Saints Row 2 for cheap, and it had everything that the GTA series lost along the way. It actually encouraged you to go crazy which was great.
