Last Tuesday, Modern Warfare 2 was released. Has it managed to…There’s no point teasing it is there? You know that it has well and truly trounced everything that has come before it!

PS3 UK Chart: Week ending 14th November:Apart from the obvious new entry that sits at the top, the PS3 chart is almost identical to last week with the exception of Ratchet and Clank slipping down to number 7.

PS3 1411

360 UK Chart: Week ending 14th November:

The story is very similar on the 360, too. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has stormed the chart; pushing everything else down. No other new entries or interesting/amusing things happening.

360 1411

Boring week this week. So, what have you been playing?…Like we can’t guess!

  1. Gravity Cr – er, I mean, MW2! Yay!

    • I know which one I’d rather play :D

      • Modern Warfare 2… right?

      • Lol err…no!

    • Liar liar pants on fire.

  2. How very uninteresting.
How many weeks are we predicting Modern Warfare 2 domination for? I think that at least up to Christmas it will stay pretty high.

    • Judging by the amount it’s sold, I can see it there for some time to come. I doubt Assassin’s Creed 2 can dislodge it.

      • I think MW2 sales will fall off pretty quickly over the next couple of weeks, simply because of the amount it’s sold, before peaking again just before Xmas. Will it make it back up to be Xmas number one? I actually suspect not.

      • Can’t be many people left who don’t have MW2 (1.2Million first day UK sales) – the price drop probably brought in more week 1 sales too so I can’t see it being Christmas number 1. My money is on Fifa 10 for the number 1 at Christmas.

      • I reckon it will be in the top 10 for a while to come, but because of the hype surrounding it and the accompanying price wars last week I reckon that most who want it would have bought it last week

      • I can see Assassins Creed 2 pushing it close, if only because everyone bought MW2 in its first week of release!! ;)

      • Interesting, but CoD4 stayed in the top 10 (or just outside of it) for 2 whole years, despite it maintaining a £40+ pricepoint when many games were far below this.

      • it will be king for a while

  3. Good to see UC2 in the top five and Need For Speed Shift is still moving copies.

  4. Hmm I hope Ratchet & Clank stays in the chart, it’s a brilliant game, I have spend more then 20 hours in it now. But this week is going to be tough though, AC2, Dragon Age (ps3), God of War collection (US), Left 4 Dead 2 (pc/360) and New Super Mario Bros. Wii .. tough crowd.

    • I agree, R&C is an excellent game with a lot of replay value that deserves to do well. It also has a weapon that plays the 1812 Overture when you fire it. Awesome.

      • Ah the RYNO, crazy fun to go berserk with it.

  5. Last week I was mainly playing fairytale fights and with brutal legend arriving from lovefilm today MW2 will go back on the shelf again. If only I could get Ratchet and Clank for about £25 I’d be playing that.

Just wondering if any PSP games can break the all format top 10 this week with Little Big Planet out on Friday.

  6. Nice to see MW2 at the top :)

  7. I wonder what the ratio of units sold for MW2 is compared to FIFA10, which was second in the charts?

    • i’d guess shitloads to loads.

  8. Looks like we all pretty much predicted it lol. Will still there’s Assassin’s Creed, Dragon Age and The Sabotouer, don’t know about the Avatar, hmmm well see.

  9. Nice to see Borderlands staying in the top 10 on both formats.

  10. Difference in sales between first and second place?

    • A lot :D

  11. WOW i’m fully shocked.

  12. No surprises there.

I mean – OMG?! SERIOUSLY?! HOW DID IT GET THERE?!

  13. The inevitable number 1 has been confirmed. It is mighty deservant of it’s position though and I hope MW2 continues to dominate (which it will), just a shame some people are being negative towards it (I am looking at you Nofi;)).
Do not see why the hell Shift is doing so well and DJ Hero I am unsurprised has not exactly taken off superbly.

  14. It will be interesting to see how long it stays at the top…

  15. its kind of cool that borderlands made it on both systems’ charts. i read some stuff on it before it came out and thought it would be cool but unsuccessful. i was wrong, and this time that’s a good thing.
