EA/DICE have today released the second episode in their ‘Battle Moments’ trailers for next March’s release of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Looking pretty phenomenal especially when you take into account that nearly all of the environments are destructible, thanks to DICE’s Frostbite engine.
The multiplayer beta for BF:BC2 is exclusive to PlayStation so hopefully we won’t see any of the problems which have plagued Battlefield 1943 on the PSN or the opening days of Modern Warfare 2’s release. The European beta is live already and the US beta follows tonight. If you want ‘in’ then stay tuned to TheSixthAxis as we have a bunch of US keys to giveaway tomorrow.

I was just playing BF Bad Company a minute ago and its a great game but number 2 looks amazing, very good graphics indeed. I cant wait for it.

Great vid expect the chances of me doing something that cool are remote. I would have died from the tank fire while i stood in the middle of the road like a sitting duck firing my pistol because i pressed the wrong button!
Good to hear TSA towers have some BETA keys. I have been stuck at a blooming conference all week with limited access to the web etc. By the time i enter the codes from twitter people with lighting fast reflexes have already entered them and redeemed them. I will be on the train most of tomorrow trying to grab one to start the weekend with a bang!

did anyone get a beta code for this? the bas company 2 website said if you were an eu customer to keep an eye on the battlefield blog for beta code info, it launched today and there is f**k all on the blog site about it!

yeah im with carson on this, as soon as i heard about the beta i signed up (at the official site) but ive heard bugger all!! what i have heard is loads of bloody yanks on N4G saying they got their keys…is america more important than europe…it seems publishers think so! getys on my bloody swingers it does…

BFBC was amazing, this looks even better. Ive got a US code and may get a European one. Are the servers region locked? i doubt it but does anyone know?

Everything looks great but two things:
1. Who in god’s name plays as a sniper but runs n guns? Ok, we’ve all been there and realised it was suicide.
2. note how every shot fired with the sniper rifle cuts back to the reload before you see your target drop properly. How shockingly unsatisfying. Not good… not good at all.

Agree on both points, I like to snipe but usually get over excited a make suicide dash, Haha.
Im wondering if because of the speed this player is going he is on purposely letting go of zoom to get a move on, Maybe if zoom is held you can watch the target drop, Hope so anyway.
This does look exceptional though.

I’m in on this , got my code from GAME (shop in uk) today and I can confirm its better than MW2 even at this early stage of BETA . Oh and i really like MW2 .

Its been all over various sites on the official Sony PS3 EU Battlefield Section and also mentioned one the PSU Ps3 forums . Its 100% true mate its even mentioned on Games site .

Yeah i found that out now, bit annoying though that i have been checking the official bad company 2 website and battlefield blog website, where ea stated there would be info on the beta, and neither said anything about pre ordering at game to receive a beta code. Sorry if it sounds like im having a go at you, im not really!

Apparently Bad Company was their first use of their ‘Frostbite Engine’, then BF1943 was v1.50, and this is v2.0 – looks great whatever it is, and reasonably realistic
