What’s better than an explosion? Lots of explosions of course. BattleField: Bad Company 2 is released next March, but you don’t have to wait until then to get destructive, as the multiplayer beta has just launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3. The beta takes place on the Arica Harbour map, and offers a wide range of terrains giving a great mix to the action. To find out more you can see the US Blog’s Jeff Rubenstein utilising the PlayStation Eye to Chat to DICEs Gordon Van Dyke about the beta and their hopes and aims of making the beta a PS3 exclusive.
“OK, looks amazing, but how can I get in” you say? Well from the vid you will have see that participating retailers are giving beta keys away if you pre-order from them, and also the US & EU PlayStation Blogs are giving them away from time to time along with the BF:BC2 Twitter feed as well as here right on TheSixthAxis.
Yep we’ll be giving codes away to our members throughout the remainder of the day. “Members?” yes members – don’t worry though – any old lurker (yes even you!) can sign up completely free of charge, obviously. All you have to do is hit the ‘log-in’ link in the top left of every page, and not only will you be able to join in commenting and the forums but you’ll also be take part in competitions and give-aways, like this one.
If all has gone correctly, logged in users should be able to see the codes below – we’ll be adding more every hour or so, so if you miss out keep checking back. The codes are for US PSN account holders only, and if it doesn’t work its probably already been claimed.

Setting up accounts from other territories violates your terms of use, so I’m not going to tell you that it can be done, or that a quick search on Google will show you how, that would just be plain wrong.

I am at work too, and I must be one of the only people not to have a US PSN.
I am really looking forward to this game too, and considering I also got a MAG Beta code I would have used this to compare the 2 games and see which I would prefer to spend my cash on. Suppose it will have to be both now then

WOW Just used code 22. I thought they would have all gone. Thank you been waiting on the Twitter EU account but now at least I can try this game. Just need to make time for it now with most my evenings spent on MW2
