OK, that seems... a bit odd. However, I definitely ran into some problems after picking up one of the trophies. After playing from the start through to level 4-4 (I think), I decided not to continue. I looked to see if there were any trophies I could pick up quickly so I went into Planet Mode and selected Norova and got 'Power Saving Mode - Complete 'Norova' level without refuelling or dying'.

After that trophy popped up, it awarded me with two others, 'Overclocked - Beat the recommended time on 10 levels' and '00101010 - Collect all artifact pieces', neither of which I should have got. I'm pretty sure I hadn't beaten 10 levels in the recommended time, but I'm 100% positive that I hadn't picked up all the artifact pieces.

Now when I start a new game on campaign mode, the hidden levels (unlocked by collecting artifact pieces I assume') are unlocked on each stage, even though I haven't been given the trophy for unlocking a secret level.

Also, shouldn't the game store your best times? When I went to either Campaign or Planet mode after I was incorrectly given the two trophies, there was no 'best time' recorded for any of the levels I'd completed.

That is a pretty amazing judgement of something you've not experienced yet. It's not a game I'd necessarily buy without hearing a lot of good things about it first, but.. you read this website? Are there not enough good things said about it? Plus, the demo's free (I assume!) so decide after that what it is or isn't worth! I realise you've said you're going to download the demo, so I really do hope it changes your mind.

Thank you for your fast replys!
I do understand that the user levels could be seen as a new campaign mode so the out-greying makes sense. But in the main game you have the opportunity to replay everything in planet-mode. For me the main draw of the game is finding every secret and besting my scores and times. The campaign itself does serves for unlocking the levels.
Online all levels are there from the getgo, so unlocking is not needed. And in no way I am able to finish every level with 100% and good times at the first try. So to me it would be reasonable to use the online mode more like the planet-mode: Trying each level as often as you like until you "master" it to 100% with a fast time and high scores.

In my opinion besting times and scores is the main draw of an arcade game like that. For me that should be made as easy as possible. But thats only my opinion, if you disagree and wont change it, thats ok. Maybe other players do like your system as it is more than my idea :)

@nofi: Ah, very good! I need to start making levels fast :)

Morning...

1. Well we wanted to present the user levels as other Systems in the game, and as you'll notice you can't really reply missions again in Campaign mode. I agree with you that it does seem odd, but it made sense to us :)

2. Yes you can, CURRENTLY you have to pause the level and rate it from that menu, however I think we might change that, watch this space ;)

Right ...

The "Continue Game" option from the menu is ONLY if you've quit the game whilst playing and have lives left.

If you game over'd and did NOT continue there, then there is no game to continue.

If you're experiencing something different to this let us know ;)

Yep - first thing I did. I had another go and got to the 4th set of stages, then when I lost all my lives I chose continue instead of ending it there. When I quit the game and load it up again I can continue from stage 4 this time, but it's still bugged. It said I got all the artifacts (which I didn't), so all the hidden stages are unlocked, but I don't have the trophy for unlocking a hidden stage.

Absolutely stunning game! Its funny, here is me and my PS3, a slick new gaming machine, and I am mostly playing Stardust HD, Gravity Crash and Megaman. :-D

I have two questions though:
1) Why is it impossible to play user created levels more than once in a row? (Its greyed out, I have to go to the menu and search for the user again to play it a second time... How am I supposed to break records in that way?)

2) Can you actually rate levels/users? If so, how?

Thanks for any info. I hope to see a Gravity Crash forum here at TSA, since it seems impossible to get someone play my future levels if no one knows my name ;-). A little bit of advertising seems needed.

Yep, in the help menu it says you should be able to continue where you left off in campaign mode, but when I load it up again, the 'continue game' option is greyed out and you have to select 'new game'. Oh well.

Not sure, but I think this might be a bit buggy. I loaded it up again, and the single player campaign doesn't seem to have stored any of my previous info - none of my best times or items collected are showing up and none of the later levels are unlocked. Maybe you have to start from the beginning for each campaign, though this would be kinda annoying since it takes quite a long time. Still, the other info should be there. Also, it gave me a trophy for collecting all the artifacts which I don't think I should have got and there doesn't seem to be any way to rate users for creating levels (unless I missed it, but if it's there, it's not immediately obvious).

Original vs Dual Control - that IS the question!
I'm guessing it probably depends on the level type.
For just piloting around, Original is by far the most accurate,
however for Geometry Wars stylee blasting I reckon the Dual Control will rock.
