what they really need to do with the whole hero franchise is make sure any songs you buy can be used on any hero game.
but they won’t, they’d prefer to sell you the same tracks all over again next year.

At first i think this model would work for this particular game, but you would need to get constant updates (like our beloved firmware) to keep the software current, rather than them releasing an newer version on disc 18 months later.

Also this whole music hero thing seems to be the latest fad, and if not enough people adopt the business model, then the poor buggers that do sign up will only be left disappointed by lack of new content, rising fees, or shut down of service, once people buy the next copy of the franchise.

Though I’ve enjoyed the Guitar Rhythm thing since I got the GHWT band pack last christmas, I’m inclined to agree with you. DJ Hero was a step too far.
