We listen here at TSA towers. Though we are constantly trying to claw ourselves away from the harsh realities of life, we do so try to get through all emails and feedback. Well maybe it is more a case of getting around to all the emails when the biscuit supply runs dry and we are left with nothing else to do. But we do listen, honest.
TSA’s Killzone 2 clan has endured the rough, the smooth and more of the rough. Standing the test of time it is still going quite strong and is still a fantastic source for fun, friends and “Final Countdown”. It takes something special to be a “clanner” over in the TSA Killzone camp, such as good communication and a great sense of humour. The ability to send your bullets flying true is second only to a special kind of respect for fellow TSA members. There are no screamers in this clan, no sore losers and certainly no grumpy personality hell bent on ruining the fun. The team work and team spirit is top drawer stuff and you will also find a professional attitude adopted when the team go up against other clans in tournaments and challenges.
We recently appointed a new clan leader to keep the clan on track and organise tournaments for those sought after valor points. It gives us great pleasure to announce that Colinbarr66 is the official TSA Killzone 2 clan leader. Colin will be working closely with myself and the clan to help ensure many fun times lay ahead. No other game out now on PS3 offers the same community features found in Killzone 2. We are putting our weight behind this title as prime example of what we intend to do with other titles very soon here at TheSixthAxis. Colin will be making all the decisions on recruitment and the appointment of officers and all clan members should report to him in the first instance if they have a question or suggestion.
It also gives us great pleasure to announce the return of the King of Killzone monthly event. This time around it is bigger, better and you will need to be much more badass to be crowned. Agreeing with Colin’s suggestion that we should open the event up to include all game modes now and declare a winner on points rather than kills, this will make for many tough calls in game. Do you assist the propaganda carrier to help your team get that multiplier and increase your chances of the highest score? Or do you let him get cut down by the enemy in hope that you can then retrieve it to score the points yourself? Maybe he is the current leader and you would watch him get cut down in the hope that it knocks him from the top of your team. Choices on teamwork and self interests will need to be made, the King will need to be one very focused individual with the ability to turn his head when a team member may need assistance in this event. This will also give those that may not favour the bodycount mode but consider themselves experts in any or all of the other modes. It will no longer be about getting the kills as agility and cunning will play a much more important role. This ladies and gentlemen, is TSA’s King of Killzone 2.0……
The rules are as follows:
• All game modes will be played in a full Warzone match on a pre-selected map from the retail copy of the game, that is to say, no DLC maps will be used.
• The maximum number of entries is 30 and if anymore than 30 are received then names will be taken out of the Selecting Official Contestants (for) Killzone device, or S.O.C.K, located somewhere in TSA towers. Members do not need to be TSA clan members but do need to be members of TheSixthAxis to compete. No members from a different clan can compete. The King is automatically given an invitation to the TSA clan if they are not already a member.
• The TSA points allocated to the top three places are: King (1st) – 500 points; 2nd Place – 400 points; 3rd Place 300 points; Runners Up – 100 points.
• The King, 2nd and 3rd place automatically secure positions in the next tournament.
This event is subject to the usual terms and conditions which can be found here.
The first King of Killzone 2.0 is to take place on Saturday the 5th December at 20:30 GMT. The event will go ahead at the specified time and anyone not present will forfeit any TSA points entitlement. All applications should be sent to liam[at]thesixthaxis[dot]com with the title of King of Killzone 2.0 and the deadline is Tuesday the 1st of December at 23:59 GMT.
On top of this announcement TSA would like to inform that all “active” Killzone 2 clan members are to receive a one off TSA points bonus of 150 points for the Clan Bonus scheme. The scheme will resume as of today and the next point of calculation will be December 30th 2009. The lump sum will be paid out to those deemed “active” by our clan leader, Colin. His decision and that of TSA are final.
For more information about the fun times to be had in the TSA Killzone 2 clan head to our forums here. Please remember that you can use the TSA Meets located at the top right of this site to schedule and take part in TSA Community meets, a perfect way to get that practice in for the many events that lay ahead.

Huh. Weird this comes up on the day I played Killzone 2 for the first time in ages. Not that it encouraged me to partake in this though: missing trophies (all 4 gone!) and lagging like hell on level one did not make for a particularly enjoyable session.

Doubt there will be much if any lag in this. Lag is either the Killzone servers or individual connections playing about.
Will be good fun, give it a go

Sweet, this will be my first King of Killzone.
Gotta get back into the swing of things after MW2, takes quite an adjustment.

I like the suspense, well, as long as it’s not the dreaded Visar Hammer, then i don’t mind.

Built in clan and messaging system? Didn’t know MG had that but it did take me an hour and a half to eventually get in a game

Yea me too skibadee , i really enjoyed it online but then 1943 was released and now with the Amazing Battlefield Beta and the decent MW2 its hard to get back to all these different games . Oh yea and I recently picked up Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 , its very very underrated game with a massive online community . MW1&2 ripped off so many things from that game but not the best thing the excellent cover system .

I am King of my little big planet wooohooo! KZ2 I’d literally be nothing more than a couple of dead pixels…
Love this community clan activity though… Reminds me of good old days of MOH:AA pc gaming, in which I was involved in a clan… Great fun!
Just checking: the article says ‘Thurday Dec 5th’, while the 5th is on Saturday (and also means Sinterklaas :p)…

Oooh. Sounds interesting.
Im clearly going to have to crack open my KZ2 box once again and get used to the controls once more. It’s quite shocking how as little as one week away from a game can have me pressing wrong buttons like nobody’s business.
So, I’ll endeavour to start making it to KZ boot camps on mondays from now on.
