Christmas is coming and things are getting very busy indeed, with only the smartest and fastest surviving the festive rush. Going out to Tesco to fetch biscuits and coffee for TSA towers requires skills only a game could give you. The initial plan was to take a heavy machine gun and mow down anyone who so much as brushed past my ankles with their trolley. However, after playing Operation Flashpoint I’d learnt that I am better off doing a little recon before such an operation and sure enough there was a BBC news crew munching on cheese strings in the car park. Out with the heavy machine gun idea then*.

On a serious note, in addition to all the busy stuff we do in the uncharted territory known as our personal lives, we do love to get the TSA community together to endure competitive events and reward our members for being so cool. Here at TSA towers there is simply loads going on and good reason for members to be excited. So here is a quick community update giving some solid information and a few hints at what you can expect for the remainder of 2009 and TSA going into the New Year:

As you may be aware King of Killzone has returned with a nice shiny 2.0 slapped on for effect. Well the 2.0 is not the only thing that has changed as it now requires a full Warzone match to be played with all modes endured thus the opportunity for valuable points that could see you crowned King is increased. Being the one to assassinate the target and tipping the scales to launch you up the score board, or perhaps running as fast as Davs did (as he faced zombies) when you have the propaganda will net you that famous crown. One thing is for sure; your friends will be just as likely to stab you in the back as the enemy as everyone will be fighting to be at the top come the end of the match. More details and how to apply can be found here.

Sticking with guns and carnage and we are in the process of putting together an official TSA Modern Warfare 2 clan. Details on the clan and how to become a member can be found here. The applications have been coming in thick and fast and this looks to be a very exciting time for those wanting to be apart of a team where winning goes hand in hand with plain old fun. There will also be an announcement in the forums soon as regards a Site Vs Site Modern Warfare 2 match where we will need our bravest troops to make TSA a feared and respected name in the online world of Modern Warfare 2. More soon…

Been in the forums lately? Notice a few selected members now have a shiny new badge under their names? All official TSA Network clan members now have a badge of recognition to wear with pride. When in the forums it will be easy to identify dedicated members that have represented thesixthaxis.com out in the field. Not just anybody can wear a TSA clan member badge as you will need to be registered in one of our official clans and active in clan events too. Look out for badge variations to identify leaders and veterans soon…

Got plans this weekend? Well cancel them, stock the fridge with beer and energy drinks, kick the other half out the house and get Dominos Pizza on speed dial one, because two fantastic games are bleeding XP this week. Killzone 2 is holding a double XP weekend to celebrate Killzone’s 5th anniversary. Whether you are a member of the TSA Killzone 2 clan or not you should head over to our TSA Meets, where a very cool guy known as Vandix has managed to pull himself away from Dragon Age to schedule a Killzone 2 meet. Put your name down and be ready to milk this game for fun times on Helghan and double XP over the weekend.

Also hot on the agenda this weekend is Uncharted 2, with not just a double XP weekend but a free map and a few exciting changes on the way too. If hauling hefty treasure is your thing or just going all Indiana Jones and wiping out a truck load of enemies whilst ruining some….ah hem – ruins, then be sure to climb out of bed this weekend and log on to Uncharted 2 multiplayer online. Watch out for TSA member Person678 though as he is perhaps the best treasure smuggling brawler online and probably wishes to be the next Dr. Jones.

Remaining in Uncharted territory right now and the treasure seeking is about to get as mysterious as how Harrison Ford looks better with age (a general female opinion according to the missus). For those who are fans of the game and more specifically the multiplayer, here is a little teaser for you to feast your eyes on:

Well that is all folks. We hope to see you online this weekend and as usual keep checking back for all the latest and greatest here at TheSixthAxis.

*I do not have a machine gun and I am not influenced by games, sorry BBC, nothing to see here.

  1. Unfortunately, Ill be spending the weekend in a field..  And campsites dont tend to have good bandwidth, so I doubt Ill be able to partake in the double xp love in.  :(

  2. I have a lot to do too this weekend, so I can’t get any extra XP….
To be honest, I still need to touch the U2-multiplayer for the first time after the Beta :S
It is really great that these things are happening though (only timing is a bit off for me to be able to partake in :P )

    • I almost forgot… I still need to buy you a present…

  3. Excellent. You didn’t reveal any more about our personal lives. No one may know the truth…

  4. I would like to be in the MW2 clan, but my PS3 broke the same week as MW2 came out and I haven’t gotten it yet.
