The next time you go to play with your pet, ignore it. Instead, load up EyePet and download the new patch. The free update (I should hope it’s free) adds an EyePet Online option in the main menu. This allows you to share your special moments that you have with your EyePet or view and rate other people’s experiences.
SCEE have also listened to users in theirs forum and fixed some little niggles. The main changes are: the professor actually appearing when you receive a secret prize instead of a grey box, flower removal has been made easier by requiring less tapping and the EyePet has been given a hearing aid, allowing him to hear you no matter what your PS Eye settings. Some minor tweaks have also been made.

Ah, how’s this game? We haven’t got it stateside yet, and I’d really like to know because it sure does look cool.
PS I’m not sure if the comments were anticipating me, but the count seems to be off by 1.

Even though it’s technically a game you kinda need to put that restrictive word out of your head. Eyepet is lovely fun. Charming, endearing, all ages love it. Top experience and remember:
An Eyepet isn’t for life or even Christmas. Sell the bloody thing on eBay if you don’t like it.

Cool patch, still debating whether or not to buy Eyepet, it sounds so cool.

Well it can be called cool if you can get around the odd feeling of ‘i’m playing with a nonexistant animal on my carpet’!
and for the geekier among us, the motion tracking is quite impressive, and even if you consider this a tech demo you have to pay for, i think it’s a good sign of things to come using the ‘eye…
I don’t know if it’s something deliberately coded into the game, but whenever our dog walks in front of the camera Eyepet starts jumping around as if to play with her – quite freaky the first few times!

Try getting a pillow cover or plastic carrier bag and dragging it about. It pounces about just like a little puppy. Ts amazing

For £20 it seems like a good purchase (I already own the PS Eye). My sister is a big fan of the Eyetoy games, so it won’t require much persuation to get her to buy it.
