Brink is starting to create a real buzz having been shown off at E3 and subsequent expo’s, and judging by the footage, it’s not hard to see why people are getting excited. The two videos below show the pre-alpha footage from E3.
Paul Wedgewood – Brink’s Director - previews “Container City” whilst giving an insight into the gaming mechanics and what makes Brink “genre-busting”.

Looks very pretty even on 360!

Looks very pretty indeed – especially the sky! (even though it looks like a static picture).
‘even’?

It’s more than generic FPS though. It’s much closer to something like TF2, class based, but the classing is dynamic. The objective based stuff works a lot better than most games as well. It honestly looks great
The SMART stuff and the drop in drop out competitive multiplayer/co-op seems like a great idea.

To me it looks kinda odd….good but odd. The guy that is playing it isn’t exactly great is he?
Couldn’t see much distinction between the classes really either

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – What we need is another “Black”. IMO, nothing really compares to the feel of that classic.

I second that comment

I third that comment. Black was an awsome game. Criterion should concentrate on making a remake of that game instead of releasing games for the tired format that is Burnout!

Agreed. BLACK was a brillant game.

Is there anything from criterion that isn’t brilliant? Air Blade was, black was and burnout is.

This looks really good! Excited for it now. I also want it because the guy at the beginning sounded just like Arnie

I didn’ like the voice acting at all. Really got to me, seemed a lot better when the sound was off.

Pre-alpha though, there’s an awful lot that can and will change. Probably including the voice acting.

I’d keep the voice acting as it is. Lighten up djdust, games should stop taking themselves too seriously.

This looks awesome! They took the best elements from other games and put it in one.
I would have liked it if I where able to play it…

Why can’t you play it? It’s not (as far as I know) confirmed as 360 exclusive.

The environments look great, the gameplay looks a lot like KZ2, thats not totally a bad thing unless your playing multiplayer then its not brilliant.
Will have to wait for some hands on time before passing too much judgment. It does look great but it doesnt look like it plays great and it does look like another FPS, you shouldnt have to read between the lines to make it a genre busting game, its just a shooter and we should enjoy it as such when it comes out.

This looks like Killzone 2, even the levels look similar, this is a rip off IMO. Not sure on the gameplay either, the shooting looks strange.

Looks bloody good. Those graphics are great apart from the characters. Their a little off putting when combined with the back ground. Sound is also amazing. Can’t wait to see more

Wow, I can’t believe I knew nothing of this game until now..
This looks amazing, absolutely stunning.
Looks really fun – I imagine it would be really fun co-op too.
