Last night saw the long awaited return of TheSixthAxis’ King of Killzone competition. 10 TSA members battled hard on Blood Gracht and when it was all over, a new king was crowned. The game begun with Bodycount and saw Spooferbarnabas take an early lead with rht992 and yogh_wayne trading for second place throughout. At the end of this round the ISA manage to take the victory and lead 1-0 while the top 3 contenders are currently Spooferbanabas, yogh_wayne and rht992 with 37, 28 and 24 points respectively with the reigning king and resident Trophy hunter Zuler sitting bottom with just 3 points

Up next was Assassination with defence for the Helghast, unfortunately for them the target Infra-mouse was soon eliminated after a strong offensive surge from the ISA leaving them 2-0 up. Leader Spooferbarnabas increased his tally to 40 points going into Capture & Hold. Rht992 is then able to bag an impressive 3 melee kills in a row putting him in second place with 35 points. A dominant display from the ISA gives them their 3rd successive round and allows Spoofer’ to increase his lead to 22 points.

The top 3 after this match were: Spooferbarnabas 67 points, rht992 on 52 pts and yogh_wayne with 36 pts.

Search and Destroy defend for the ISA is next and Spoofer is now in his element quickly gaining 14 points. Yogh_wayne is sitting comfortably in 3rd place while everyone tries desperately to catch up causing a large amount of team kills, most notably from rht992 which leaves him on 55 points. Spooferbarnabas breaks the 100 point mark with and is opening a large lead, almost doubling second place rht’s score. Defending king Zuler is now battling back and snatches third place from yogh_wayne. The Helghast are unable to plant the explosives putting the ISA 4-0 up. Spoofer now has 111 points with rht992 47 points behind, and 3rd place Wayne and 4th place Zuler are now separated by just 1 point.

Search and Destroy defence for Helghast is won by the ISA after some impressive offence, planting the bombs half way through the round. Everyone is desperately trying to bag some extra kills leading to numerous team kills leaving the rankings as: Spooferbarnabas 120 points, rht992 on 67 points with yogh_wayne 13 behind. In joint fourth are Zuler and Vandix with 45 points.

The Helghast manage to take an early lead in Search and Retrieve but the leader levels the round quickly thereafter. Spoofer yet again grabs the propaganda speaker and good covering from Zuler gives the ISA the lead before capturing another, giving the ISA a 6-0 lead overall. The final round is Assassination, defence for the ISA, with mpb1955 the target, two precise grenades from yogh_wayne mid-way through the round gives the Helghast their first win of the match. Final score is 6-1 to the ISA.

Final standings are as follows, score multiplier for ISA is not counted:

  • 1st: Spooferbarnabas 149 pts
  • 2nd: rht992 82 pts
  • 3rd: yogh_wayne 68 points

Guys, your points have already been added, and congratulations to the top three – Spoofer, your badge will be on your avatar as soon as I can get it sorted, and a special thanks to everything that took part in our unique Killzone 2 battles, especially on a weekend evening and we were fighting against the X Factor, too.  Cheers also to Zuler for the ‘photograph’ above and finally my personal thanks to ColinBarr66, our illustrious Killzone Clan leader, for writing up the King of Killzone battle from the warzone itself.
