The quickest ever Firmware turnaround is now live, 3.15 (which I’ve been getting wrong all week, calling 1.5 for some bizarre reason) is now live. It’s optional though, so you’ll need to manually check for updates, but it’s there, usual size – click here for what’s included in the update.
I’m downloading it now, and I’ll give the whole PSP Minis thing a quick check as soon as the firmware has installed.
Thanks, Mukarkar, AJ.

I think most people missed a crucial detail from the SCEE 3.15 blog post
“This firmware update allows the minis emulator to work on PS3 and we are working on getting the majority of the current minis ready for the PS3 from the 17th December.”
Anyway Cubixx out today looks great and the dev has dropped hints that it will be PS3 compatible. So that’s something at least.

don’t know if its been fixed per say but mine works now, syncs first time on both my controllers on my slim now where as before i had to connect the cable first to get them to sync. Also trophy’s seamed to sync quicker for me too.

ok just updated firmware to 3.15 and in the system settings the new data transfer utility is there. here what it says “Transfer data that is saved on one ps3 system to another ps3 system. You can use this feature when replacing the ps3 system that you usually use with another ps3 system. Even saved data that is copy-protected can be transferred (moved).
when you click it says to tranfer you must connect both ps3’s together with cable and both have to be the same firmware version. Also it will format the ps3 to recieve data then when transferred it will format the ps3 which sent data. also its a move not copy as i cant have game protected saves on upstairs and singstar tracks downstairs it one or the other,so its either full stuff on ps3 downstairs or full on upstairs not both which is no good for me as i use ps3 downstairs for singstar, movies and gaming upstairs.

First post lol. I really hope this has solved the controller sync issue as it was really starting to annoy me. Also, this is unrelated, but is anyone having trouble getting onto the official ps forums? they seem to have changed it so you have to sign in, but for some reason its not accepting my password.

Sony are updating their forum layout/code this morning. They posted about it yesterday. You’ll just have to wait.

You lots who were having trouble getting on official Sony forums can now relax. The forum mods have now tweeted on Twitter that they are now live again. And they are, I’ve checked.

Did anybody check if you can move savegames only? Like they added a move option? This is truly something I’d like to know, otherwise I’ll have to start Dragon Age from the beginning again. (Not that that is a problem, just the issue of the hours I’ll have to spend on it).

Thanks for the heads up. Not sure if it was anything to do with the new firmware, but I can now synch and compare trophies. Good times.

I haven’t updated to 3.15 yet, but the syncing of trophies seems to be fixed for me, so I assume Sony have finished upgrading their servers…either that or nobody is playing MW2 at the moment!!

The update downloaded fairly quickly which was a nice surprise.
Haven’t tried the Mini’s on PS3 yet but I hear I don’t want to.
The PS3 data transfer thingy seems useful though (if I upgrade to a Slim or something).

So I went out bought a new Slim hooked up my old PS3 phat and they data wouldn’t transfer… tried two cables and spent two hours trying to get it to work but no… so looks like a re-download of everything and hope that most of my game saves will transfer over…
