Sam fans rejoice, a collectors edition of Splinter Cell Conviction has been announced by Ubisoft. Along with the steelbook encased game the pack also includes the soundtrack on CD and a statue of Sam Fisher looking a bit beardy and pointing his gun. The collectors edition will also include an exclusive game mode, ‘Infiltration’, in which the player has to wipe out all the enemies without being detected. The final goodies are a special skin for the game and 3 exclusive weapons. Splinter Cell Conviction is due for release Xbox 360 on February 26th.

Can-not-wait! If there is one thing this title needs – it is a port to PS3! It looks so good and hasn’t been exclusive in past titles – so why now? I’d have got it on 360 anyway – but Assassins Creed is multiplatform and for the love of all things right – so should Conviction be.
Where do i direct the hate? Ubisoft or Microsoft?

Probably you should direct the hate to microsoft because Ubisoft said that this game could be done on the PS3.

This is the only game that has made me envious of 360. It’s a shame it won’t be on PS3, oh well then i guess like God of War/Dante it just leaves the door open for somebody to do a multi platform rip off copy.

this has always been on both systems I even think it was a ps2 game first? why now exclusive to 360 bum deal for us ps3 owners, now the 3rd reason I should have kept my 360.

I’ve never really enjoyed the Splinter Cell series because I hate being stealthy. This one, however, looks amazing and I’m seriously considering getting this edition. Can’t wait.
