Future Soldier appears to be the subtitle of the next Ghost Recon game from Ubisoft, if this patent has any weight. There’s no details apart from the usual listing of “game software and electronic game programs … software games recorded on CD-ROMs, digital video discs, and cartridges for console and individual, portable gaming systems … software games that are downloadable from a remote computer site and electronic game software for mobile phones” but we can at least gather that it’s a Ubisoft France title.

but hey, if they’ve got something to add to the genre then good luck to em, if it’s just yet another generic fps with features from other games then, meh.

Hmm, could be cool.. I really liked the PC versions of this (which are FPS and a lot more slower paced), but the PS3 demo of GRAW2 didnt quite feel right, mostly I think the 3rd person view didnt work for me. Hopefully, they’ll take some ideas from Rainbow Six and have it 1st person, going to 3rd when in cover..
