Back at the beginning of this festive month we brought you news that Aliens vs Predator was set for release on February 19 and that it would be available in three different editions: Standard, Survivor Edition and The Hunter Edition. The Hunter edition has now been confirmed for the US and, because of this, we finally get a chance to see what we get for our money.
In amongst the steel case, DLC maps, Weyland Yutani badge and a 3D lenticular postcard lies a poseable Facehugger. Just think of the amount of pranks you can play with that ugly-looking mo’ fo’! It is worth noting that the Graphic Novel listed in the picture below is not coming to Europe or Australia.
Thanks, Kotaku

err… 4 exclusive multi-player maps… weird… If these maps are truly exclusive for the Special Edition, it will be very quiet on these maps…

It probably means you get 4 maps that you have to buy separately if you go for the other versions

But then they wouldn’t be exclusive, would they?
Bad marketing I’d say…

I’m rarely bothered by these special edition games, but this one may well sway me.

Does anybody know how well all these special edition box sets do sales wise compared to the standard version

Haha, the facehugger is amazing! That’s another collector’s edition pre-ordered along with the GoW III Ultimate Edition! I really want to see the survivor edition however, there may be some better stuff there.
But the facehugger is still really amazing.
