“Episodes From Liberty City featuring 2 complete games: The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony will be available for the PS3 in 2010,” says this site which looks very much like the RockStar blog. “Also, a new exclusive episode will be launched for the plataform. Visit Rockstar Games official site for more information in the next days.”
Plataform? There’s more, too. “We are proud to announce that both episodes experiencies -and a new one- will be available for the PS3. ‘We cannot wait people to play it’ commented Dan Houser during a press conference.”
I don’t mean to be rude, but this looks 100% fake to me – the blog’s a copy of the RockStar one and the news isn’t true, at least not yet. If (and it’s a big IF) the Grand Theft Auto ‘episodes’ ever end up on the PS3, you can bet your motorbike that RockStar will be making a bigger deal of it than a couple of lines of text on a site a bit like their own.

Whether this particular source is bogus, it’s only a matter of time before both DLC’s hit the PS3. What _isn’t_ false/unconfirmed, is that the recent Games for Windows Live update, included achievements for said DLC. Which indicates, in the very least, that 360 exclusivity is indeed approaching its end. Of course, whether or not additional restrictions for platforms other than PC, were penned into the deal, only RS and MS know that. Time will tell. But, I’m personally waiting for the PC version.

One tantalising possibility, should these make it to the PS3, would be for there to be a GotY edition which has everything on one disc.
If they came out with that, I might consider getting myself my first 3D GTA. To be honest, I’ve not really been a fan of GTA since 3. Maybe Agent and RDR might get me to check 4 out.

I reckon we will get the episodes eventually, just that they are timed exclusives.
I really hope so.
Currently playing thru Liberty City Stories again on my Go so have re-kindled my love affair with GTA

if the xbox owners keep bringing that old mgs4 on 360 rumour out every now and again some ps3 owners can do the same with the gtaiv dlc, neither is looking very likely, or romotely likely for that matter.
more wishful thinking on the part of the rumour instigator.
but then it’s better to be looking up at the stars than down at the gutter.

I don’t care anymore about the GTA4 DLC. They don’t have to think that I will buy it. GTA4 DLC was last year so I don’t want outdated DLC. There are way too much good games coming out in 2010 to even care about GTA4.

Yeah man I totally agree. I just bought MW2, AC2, and Uncharted 2 today. No time or the will to play an old game.
