Sony: Twitter & Facebook “Obvious”

3Facebookers and Tweeters rejoice, it sounds like the PS3 is going to get some social media additions. Sony’s Ray Maquire was asked by MCV how he saw the phenomena of social media developing for 2010,
“Sites such as Facebook and Twitter are now an integral part of people’s lifestyles and entertainment demands, so their integration into both hardware and software is an obvious and natural transition.”
As the PS3 already has a limited form of Facebook integration perhaps a future firmware update will bring ‘proper’ Facebook to the XMB along with a Tweeting app so you too can tell the entire world what you had for lunch. Can’t wait.
