Uncharted 2 Clan: Join Up!

Anyway, this post is less about adverts and more about the fledgling TSA Uncharted 2 Clan that two adventurous TSAians have set up: namely, tobo_56 and teflon.  And, well, they’re looking for cannon fodder.  Now, as I’m the best cannon fodder there is I figured I’d join up, but I’m busy so it’s over to you lot instead.

Due to a bout of excessive laziness I contracted over the Christmas holiday period, I’m stopping writing now and I’m going to hand you over to teflon instead.  Any mishtayks that follow are his, and any witty comedic brilliance is actually mine, added during brief lulls in my laziness illness.

The framework for the clan is already in place, and the first matches are going to be held in the next few weeks, probably against some pretty staunch competition: We’ll be dropping in at the deep end, that’s for sure. So all we need now are more members ready to play this game and with the time to dedicate to the clan. I’m sure I can think of worse things to do.  I know I can…oh sorry, laziness kicked in again.

So, if you’ve ever thought that the only thing Uncharted 2 was missing was a TSA Clan, read on for all the details needed to become a clan member:

- There are several ways to contact us about joining the clan:

tobo_56 and teflon (teflon6678 on PSN) are the Leader and Co-Leader respectively. If you want to join, get in touch with us on PSN, TSA (via PM) or post in this thread on the forum: Uncharted 2 Clan.

- Since there’s currently no clan framework in UC2 outside of tags, the TSA clan is registered at GameBattles.com, and all members will need to be signed up to that site before they can play in clan matches. It’s a fairly convoluted sign up, and you’ll need to make sure to head into your profile there and add your PSN ID.

- All members should aim to have headsets, since communicating well with one another can really make or break a clan. It’s not vital yet, as we’re just starting out, but the tougher the opponents, the more important headset chatter will be.

- A stable network connection is also very important. UC2 hasn’t been the most reliable game for meets lately, with some very odd things happening when in parties, and I know several people who have regular problems. As with the headsets, a good connection will be better for clan matches than a bad one.

- I’m sure I don’t really need to say this, but during clan matches, and whenever anyone is playing with the TSAN tag, we’re representing TheSixthAxis, and should uphold its reputation as best we can. It’s not just about playing well, but also being courteous and professional chaps and chapettes when in the matches. The other team will often be able to hear what we’re saying, and trash talking your opponents or even team mates simply isn’t on.

As I said above, you should try and be enthusiastic about and dedicated to the clan. The more play time and practice we can get together the better. So, in addition to the current weekly meets, which are open to anyone like the Killzone 2 boot camps, there will be extra clan only meets, and quite a few clan matches from GameBattles.

Who knows, if we behave ourselves, Nofi might let us have a clan forum, a few competitions, and set up matches against other gaming sites…

Finally, though this is the official clan, it’s still meant to be fun, and it’s open to anyone who wants to be in it. So if anyone’s interested, just drop us a line and show up to a couple of the weekly meets.
