Darksiders: Competition Results!

Over a hundred entries to sift through and the standard was high, but here are the top five and therefore the winners of our Darksiders competition. Remember, to win you had to answer the question: If you were a Horseman of the Apocalypse, what would your name be and why?

Answer: Bono; Never leaves Famine’s side.

Answer: SNOW; As a Horseman of the Apocalypse I would be that most terrible being, SNOW. None of the other riders wield the same awesome ability to paralyse the transport network, terrorise the elderly and even drive the police into a gun happy craze.  I would bring this country to its knees in days and not even the mighty met office could (accurately) predict my coming.

Answer: FANBOY; Because they’ll eventually bring about the Apocalypse, and they scare me more than Death, War, Pestilence and Famine.

Answer: SHOPMOBILITY; And I would ride my plastic and metal steed through the supermarkets and shopping arcades, smiting the ankles of shoppers who dawdle in my path or leave their trolleys in the middle of the aisles while they stare gormlessly at processed cheese – grrrrrrr!

Answer: Cher; Because the only things that are absolutely guaranteed to survive a nuclear holocaust are cockroaches and Cher. And while humanity is starving in darkness, scoured by sulphurous, pestilential winds, wracked by squabbling, desperate, futile wars for possession of a few feet of irradiated scrapheap and stumbling blind and toothles and impotent towards its final death rattle, it won’t be cockroaches I’m scared of.

I’d like to thank everybody that entered for taking the trouble to do so and for the effort you put in to your answers.  It was a tough decision, especially when I’d narrowed it down to 7 or 8 possibles, because there were so many excellent entries.  I’d also like to thank those that tried influencing me with pictures of Huskies.  When I say those, I actually just mean Omega-W.  Although he didn’t win, here’s the picture he sent; It’s tacky, awesome, and cute all at once.  But, yeah, the name was rubbish.  Soz.
