Tomorrow, Tuesday the 12th of January 2010, sees the launch of “Gravity Crash Anthems” a downloadable album totalling over 75 minutes of 80’s influenced electronic music. Composed by Tim Wright aka, CoLD SToRAGE, best known for his award winning works on Wipeout & Colony Wars.
“Gravity Crash Anthems” features album length versions of the music from the PS3/PSP game “Gravity Crash” – one of a series of ‘new skool retro’ games from Sony Computer Entertainment. Wright was more than qualified to rise to the challenge of providing audio for the game, not least because his association with computer games goes back as far as the 1980’s, where he began his career penning memorable tunes for many well-known games such as “Shadow of the Beast” and “Lemmings”.
“Writing the score for this game was a total joy for me!” says Wright, “…although I have to compose in all manner of styles based on the requirements of each project, my musical roots are firmly planted in the 80’s where I first discovered a love for electronic music”. Stewart Gilray (Managing Director of Just Add Water (Developments) Ltd. said, “When we started to think about the audio for Gravity Crash, there was no one else I wanted to get on board.”
“Gravity Crash Anthems” will be available for £9.99 as a multi-format download from coldstorage.bandcamp.com and features 16 tracks, including choice re-mixes in styles as varied as laid back drum’n'bass, orchestral ambient and Commodore SID Chip.

The release also features a 19 page print quality PDF booklet.

Count me in. Especially “orchestral ambient and Commodore SID Chip”. As my mate recently said… “you like your blippy bloppy music, don’t you”
Fingers crossed we can sample 30 seconds or so from each track first. Makes a huge difference to my spending choice.

You get more than that… you can listen to the tracks in full before you buy! Some tell me that’s nuts… but I think you should be able to hear exactly (aside from the extra quality you get in H.D. downloads) what you’re getting. Hope you enjoy it! The link in the article above is a bit squiffy though – the proper link is: http://coldstorage.bandcamp.com/album/gravity-crash-anthems

Cool, but how about a patch, to fix some of the many problems in Gravity Crash? The buggy level editor, the broken story progress and so on

I was thinking the same thing, i’ve already restarted the game 3 times because of the story progress error. Fixing that is a bit more important than trying to go all pop star with with the game soundtrack.

Hey guys, “story progress error” !? which error would that be? we are aware that some people don’t understand the terminology for the “quit/continue” when you lose all your lives, but it is exactly the same as Shatter.
If you are talking about a bug that say, randomly deletes your save game or something, then that IS different. We are aware that some users have had this, however NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE can provide reproducible steps so we cannot fix something we don’t know how it breaks.
If YOU can provide steps then please do.
As for “other” issues, I’m intrigued to know what these are, please come to our website and send in a message from the contact page.
Thanks.

Hmm I’m pretty sure I didn’t use a continue, but when I came back, it didn’t remember how far into the campaign I was.
Is going to give it another go and make sure it’s not a mistake by me.

Looks good now, I might have missed I used a continue. Such a great game!
But Data Miner, 00101010 and Overclocked trophies are glitched. I got 00101010 and overclocked, suddenly when I was in the menu and was no where through the game.
I can’t get Data Miner, even though I’ve unlocked tons of secret levels. But I read that If i do a backup of my save game, delete it and start a new, it should work. And when the Data Miner trophy pops up, I can copy in my backup.
