Or ModNation Racers? I'll take either.

SuperVillain Studios have been responsible for a number of PS3 to PSP ports recently, not least fl0w and Fat Princess, but it appears they have another title lined up for 2010 that’s still unannounced.  Speculation that the guys are working on either a PSP version of fl0wer (which makes sense) or ModNation Racers (which might be wishful thinking) is fine, but the LinkedIn page and the official SuperVillian website offer no other clues other than a decent enough track record with the following PSP titles:

  • Unannounced
  • Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake
  • flOw
  • Crash of the Titans
  • Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony -
  • Tony Hawk’s Underground II: Remix

Chances are it’s a version of fl0wer (with the analog nub taking the place of motion control) but I’d love this to be ModNation Racers, I really would.

Comments

Please note that all comments are the opinion of the individual author and not TheSixthAxis.

  1. I don’t know about a PSP version of Flower to be honest. For me the best thing about Flower was just wistfully tilting the controller causing the petals to float everywhere. The lack of motion sensitivity on the PSP would take a lot away from Flower, or at least that’s how I see it.

  2. A PSP version of Flower doesn’t really make much sense. What makes Flower? Beautiful + motion control. What would Flower on PSP be? Ugly + analogue nub.

  3. Flower would make a better iPhone/iPod Touch game, with the motion control and a single (virtual) button.

There’s no reason MNR couldn’t come to the psp at some point, lbp managed it and is arguably better, but they need to find a way to make user created levels work cross platform

    • Agreed. Flower would be great on the iPhone.

  4. I’m still on the fence about Flower. It looks good from the videos i’ve seen, and it’s something different, but unless it goes down in price (I know it’s only £6.50 ish at the moment), OR they create some sort of a demo for it, I’ll have to hold off playing it.

  5. Some websites already have ModNation (nothing about Racers though) listed to pre-order for the PSP.

  6. I haven’t touched my PSP in aaages, so these might be able to tempt be back in.
