Assassin’s Creed II: Over 6m Units Sold

17French publisher Ubisoft have confirmed that Assassin’s Creed II has now sold over 6 million copies world-wide. It is now “on track” to sell 9 million by March. Assassin’s Creed II was only released in November last year and it was the UK’s 3rd and 4th biggest selling game of 2009 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively.
With news that a new Assassin’s Creed game will be released within Ubisoft’s 2010/11 financial year (April 2010 – March 2011), one might speculate that they would want to replicate the success of ACII meaning that a pre-Christmas release may be more than likely.
