We’ve extolled Brink’s wonderfully complex and creative character customisation process in the past, but what we have here is a much clearer and in-depth look at just how much you can change your character’s appearance when playing both offline and during online play.

We’re really impressed with the level of avatar detail Splash Damage are introducing in the game; injecting a dizzying amount of individualism into what traditionally has been a somewhat carbon-copy landscape. It also appears that there will be a lot of incentive to keep playing Brink, as it seems the majority of the custom ink and apparel is only available after unlocking it in the game.

Brink hits the PC, 360 and PS3 in the second half of 2010 and is published by Bethesda Softworks.
