Last weekend several TSAians took to the starting GRiD to take part in the second GRiD competition. As you may remember, cam the man was the winner last time around, so it was up to everyone else to catch up. Here’s how it went down.
Race 1 – Istanbul Park
The opening race saw Manorhowze taking the chequered flag closely followed by cam the man and mannysingh.
1. Manorhowze
2. cam the man
3. mannysingh
Race 2 – Jarama
The second race was also won by Manorhowze with Baxteros a close second and mannysingh taking third again.
1. Manorhowze
2. Baxteros
3. mannysingh
Race 3 – Milan
Oh how we all love this track (just to be clear, that was sarcasm). After his earlier troubles tom_lord was able to join the lobby in time for the third race.
Milan was chaos as always, 3 cars wrecked during the race and nearly a few more as the wrecks just stay there causing new roadblocks for the other drivers to avoid. After the dust (and bodywork) had settled cam the man brings it home in first place with mannysingh in second and tom_lord getting on the podium in his first race of the day.
1. cam the man
2. mannysingh
3. tom_lord
Race 4 – Nurburgring
Off to Germany for race 4 and tom_lord is getting into his stride now and takes the victory with cam the man second and mannysingh in third.
1. tom_lord
2. cam the man
3. mannysingh
Race 5 – Spa
The finale at Spa started with a bang (well a huge incident that was pretty much all, er, someone’s fault) that took out half the field before we even got to Eau Rouge. 5 laps later and tom_lord walked away with his second victory with cam the man second and Baxteros in third.

2. cam the man
3. Baxteros

After all 5 races had been completed the final standings were as follows.

2. mannysingh – 31 points 100 TSA points

Awesome TSA Meet. Properly enjoyed myself. Just a shame that I couldn’t join until Race 3 thanks to Virgin Media. Can’t wait until next time.

Congratulations (again) cam.
It was a great evening of racing and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I do think that if tom had been there from the beginning that the result would have been very different.
Two things put paid to my chances, one was trying to go side by side on milan with jacklum where there wasnt really room, which ended up with my car going slightly airborne and face first into the barriers. The second was the start at Spa, Got a good start from the back and got a bit too adventurous trying to pass someone and clipped someone else causing a several car pileup, I dont know how many got caught in it as my car was spinning around too much to see.
My thanks to all who took part it was a much closer event than the first one, If everyone plays again next time it should be a close event.
Also thanks to cam for the photos and Baxteros for being the keeper of the scores.

Cheers Manor
It was unlucky for tom (lucky for me) having connection problems as if he had done all the races the result would have been different. He managed 4th place competing in just 3 races.
In the 2nd race after G_The_Enemy and I came together (accidentally) at the end of lap 3 or 4 I ended up in the barrier so didn’t score any points, I thought my chance of winning the tournament had gone. The next race I managed to win but at the Nurbergring, as hard as I tried, I couldn’t catch tom. At Spa I managed to get a good start and was in 2nd after Eau Rouge. All I had to do was stay on the track and out of trouble, which wasn’t easy with Bax chasing me, to win.
Thanks to Manor for organizing the tournament and Bax for keeping score. A goog job done by both.
