Yes, there’s now a demo available for Sonic and SEGA All-Star Racing – but it’s only available for the Xbox 360.
The demo, which weights in at a 1GB, can be queued from here if you’re an Xbox Live GOLD member. “Dodge weapons, perform tricks and drifts, seek short cuts and look out for that elusive all-star move pick-up as you blast past your rivals in to pole position,” says the press release.
Winning has never tasted so sweet! Indeed – I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

What is the point in having an exclusive demo? Surely the point in demos is so that people experience the game beforehand and are swayed to buy it.
Like this is going to shift consoles, lol.
Will we be getting this on Thursday?

It might be that it’s an MP only demo. There are some exclusive demoes just for the hell of it, but quite a few are due to MP content.

All demos are Gold only for 7 days, so next Tuesday people with Silver membership will be able to download it.

Given the fact there are exclusive characters in the X360 version, I’d assume they also have the marketing rights to the title, which would obviously include a pre-release demo

I’m buying both. I want the 360 version of this because of being able to use my avatar, but I rarely use my 360 these days – PS3 has just become habit, so I’ll probably get the PS3 version instead.

No its won’t be as good. Sonic All Star Racing just seems like a Sonic version of Crash Team Racing. But ModNation Racers allows you to customise your Mod (person), car and make your own track.
