NPDs Hit: PS3 In Third Place

20Perfect timing for Microsoft – all eyes are focused on the guys from Redmond as they enjoy the spotlight due to X10, and as if by magic the January NPD sales figures are issued.
The Wii has come out on top, with 466k units shifted, the Xbox 360 333k machines and the PS3 277k. The highlight is the wonderful Mass Effect 2, selling 572k copies in just six days.
We’ll hopefully have the full set of figures in the morning.
