HD remakes are all the rage these days. With God of War Collection – a spruced up version of the first two God of War games re-released on one Blu-ray with the added bonus of trophies – performing exceptionally well both critically and commercially, it’s no surprise that other studios are fielding questions about the possibility of their PS2 games getting a similar treatment.
When fan MikeBabcock enquired if Insomniac would be interested in seeing their pre-PS3 Ratchet & Clank games resurface will all new bells and whistles, the Burbank based studio appeared at least open to the idea. Responding on their official Twitter account, they said:
“It’s a cool idea, if there is enough support for this sort of thing. If SCEA wants to do it, we’d support a dev taking it on.”
Considering the quality (and abundance) of Ratchet & Clank games that appeared on the PS2 (and PSP for that matter), would people be interested in revisiting the lombax’s earlier adventures with the aforementioned upgrades?
