If there is one thing you can say about Lara Croft it’s that she has always been quite up front, well if the latest screenshots for Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light are anything to by then that is all about to change.

As you can see from the screenshot below, Lara is taking a fixed isometric view of the world in her next game instead of the third person view that we are all used to.

Another interesting development is that the game will include co-op featuring a drop-in system for adding a second player on the fly, therefore numerous characters will be playable rather than just Lara and each of these will have weapons unique to them.

Since this is a lot of change players may worry that the game is going to be beyond recognition, however The Guardian of Light will still include much of Tomb Raider’s well known and loved features such as tombs, booby traps and puzzles, so there is no need to worry in this respect.

This is certainly not something we were expecting of the new Lara, but then she is getting old and a cosmetic change is normally what these famous ladies need to make them feel young again.
