Sony and Square Enix have revealed that they will be releasing some new items for Final Fantasy XIII in PlayStation Home this Thursday.
The new items include a new personal space named, Eden: Primarch’s Vigilarium as well as some new furniture which ranges from Vigilarium Furniture such as sofas, tables etc and also some figurines such as the Cactuar Figure, Flowering Cactuar Figure, Tonberry Figure and a Carbuncle Plushie.

The personal space looks quite interesting and although we have no prices for these items, we are sure that they will prove popular amongst those who take residence in Playstation Home.

Just be aware that when you buy the space it will come unfurnished so if you want it looking like the pic above you’ll have to buy the furniture too. :)

I only ever tried Home once, briefly.
I managed to spend £4 getting Visari Palace as my personal space and then spent 35 minutes trying to get a game of poker (with no success, though I think that was broken at the time).
Has it changed much in the last few months?
Worth going back to?

Just played FFXIII in a HMV store. Can someone help me, I just don’t get it. The fighting involves selecting fight (x), then selecting it again. Then once I win (without any skill involved other than pressing x when I feel like it) I walked forward and repeated.
Please explain how this game is good. The visuals were AMAZING and it’s my first experience with this game. Why is it so popular? I ask because I am interested in playing this game, but not if its a point and click game without the point bit!

I’m playing this for the first time ATM, It can be quite complicated. But very good, Never played this type of game before, no complains so far.
One thing I do know is that trying to explain it to someone who played it for 10mins in HMV is nigh on impossible…..

I guess my question is does the combat system require any skill or do you just click attack and hope to out live your enemy. Also, is there a block action. It seems a bit wierd to just stand there taking hits.
Basically just after an answer from someone to say either ‘it’s obviously not the game for you..’ or ‘yes the combat seems strange but gets a lot better as you play through it…’
I’m sure its a rent first, but if I gave up in HMV after 5 minutes how long do I need to play to ‘get it’?

You upgrade and get abilities to help protect you while having teammates who provide magic support or draw fire or heal you or use numerous attacks or use summons. You then equip many many different items as yet another tactical base for fighting.
Anyone who has played the game for 10-20 mins wont have a clue as it takes nearer 10 hours before you even begin to feel the full force of your arsenal.
Then theres the story….

You wait till there’s a boss that gets you before you can even press X several times. ;)

The battle system is that simple for the first two hours, then it starts to evolve. Slowly.
Eventually it ends up being really challenging and if you stick to the automatic button (as you were) you will just die repeatedly and quickly. It gets really complex as you upgrade your characters and progress the storyline.

Thanks, I think that explains enough for me. Sounds definitely worth plugging away which I think I’ll do. It’s almost worth it for the visuals which look incredible!

they have released quite a few nice looking things in Home but I am sticking to my policy of not paying for anything in it. Free stuff FTW!!!
